More Knits

First up, I would love to thank everybody for their wonderful comments on Isabelle's new hat. She made me read them all to her and had a big smile on her face afterwards. She likes to sit on my knee occasionally and look at the pictures of you and your families out there in blogland, and she does ask the names of your kids too so she feels like she knows them as well. I started another cardigan yesterday, after doing some shopping at Braybrook yesterday. I grabbed some yarn which is DK Gold in white. I love this yarn, it is really soft and is acrylic I think, so I can just wash it in the machine. I made Isabelle a pink cardigan last year out of this yarn, but sadly she grew so quickly that it now no longer fits her. This is Design F from The Snuggly Book of Baby & Toddler Knits, which is a Sirdar book. It has really cute patterns in it, and I thought this would be nice. It took me a few hours to do all that moss stitch so I am sure my body will suffer for it today. I am knitting the size 3 to 4 size since it is quite wide and I will just adjust the length of it. I did see this on Claudine's blog made out of cotton and it is just gorgeous. If I find the link again I will post it later on. We also travelled to Mansfield to pick Lachlan up on Thursday which was about 3 hours one way, and saw lots of kookaburras along the way. We went up through Kinglake National Park, which was a very winding high road, and since I am scared of heights, this was quite scary for me. I think my panic attack got out of control and Paul had never seen me so bad before so it did not help him either. Poor guy! Thankfully we went back along the freeway on the way home. Lachlan was glad to be home too, and caught up on some sleep as well. I like my children having holidays, but I do miss them after one day away, not that Isabelle has done that yet. Maybe in a few years she can stay with Paul's mum at the beach.

I also thought I would post a picture of the CPH too. It needs a good blocking so excuse the weird look of it. I have not sewn anything up yet. That hood took so long to knit it drove me crazy. I have started the first sleeve so that is a good thing. I am hoping to finish this in the next 2 weeks, and I now have another knit to do for a 5 yr old's birthday in December. She loves pink so I am sure that I can reduce my stash a bit more, and pick out a nice summery cardigan to make her. I have even been teaching Isabelle to knit, and after giving her larger needles and thicker wool to knit with she is doing quite well. She sometimes does a yarnover so we just rip it back. She is quite good at doing that, and does not even get upset by it so maybe I can make a future knitter out of her yet. I will try and take an action shot of her over the weekend. She has just gone to work with Paul for an hour or so, so I will be able to get my washing out on the line and a few other little things before she comes back. Her latest hobby is trying to do cartwheels at the moment. We arent having much luck with it at the moment, but I am sure after some practice she will master it. Well that's all for now, and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Lola Hats

are finished. I knit the white one yesterday, and the pink one the day before. Isabelle has decided to keep the white one with the rose colored edging and the other one is going to be a pressie for someone. These were so easy to knit and I loved doing the little flower. The pink flower turned out much better than the first flower, but practice makes perfect they say. I have been knitting some other things too, thus the CPH hood is still going and feels as though it is never going to end. Some of the others have already finished theirs and they look gorgeous. I am still patiently waiting for my box of cotton ease to arrive from Karyn so cross your fingers that it arrives soon, please! Waiting for parcels always seems to take such a long time doesnt it.

Tide Cardigan

This is the new cardigan that I have been making for Isabelle. I finally conquered that pattern that I had to reknit about 3 times. I think maybe tiredness had something to do with it, and after a good night's sleep which is rare in our house, I managed to knit it correctly. It is a bit darker than the color on the screen, and I am using Rowan Cotton which knits up nicely. I was quite proud of the edging since I am not normally good at these sorts of patterns. Well I need to start somewhere I suppose. The CPH hood is being knitted up at the moment, and has gotten quite bulky and heavy, and hard to photograph. I will knit the sleeves next, and then do the edgings. Maybe I will take a picture after it is finished so it does not look like a big blue blob.

Our son is leaving for a week today to stay at his friend's house. He should have a great time and we will drive up to Mansfield next weekend to pick him up. The house will be quiet without him, but I should be able to get more things done, knitting included, without the two kids arguing all the time. We had my friend and her two girls over yesterday for lunch, and I took photos but she does not like pictures of her kids on the web, so sorry no pictures of the three girls together, but they were very cute. They had a wonderful time and were all a bit tired by the time they had to go home. Just as they were leaving the rain started and lasted for a few hours, nothing really heavy but more like a summer shower, so I wont need to water the garden today. I am hoping to tidy up the backyard a bit and weed my little garden near the clothesline and hopefully plant some new vegetables too. By summertime, I am hoping to spend a little time out there doing some knitting and by then Isabelle should have some new sand in her sandpit and she can stay out there too. I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend, and I am off to hang out the washing and do some housework, you know all the stuff we really dont want to do, that cuts into our precious knitting time!

The Dinosaur Jumper is Finished!

Specs: Dangerous Dinosaur sweater from Handknits for Kids by Lucinda Guy.
Size 2 to 3 years
Yarn: Cotone cotton from Spotlight, 50g balls
2 and a half balls turquoise,
2 balls brown, 1 ball of lime, and red.

THANK YOU ALL for your lovely comments about the dangerous dinosaur jumper. I actually loved knitting this jumper. The body of the dinosaur wasnt too hard, until you get to the spikes and then I decided to just cut long lengths off and do it that way, so I did not get any tangles, otherwise I would have gotten so frustrated untangling them all. It only took me one week to knit this up, so it was a quick knit. That makes one more pressie done, and then I will have to finish off some other knits and reduce the WIP pile. I did start another cardigan for Isabelle last night, and finally got that lacey pattern right that I had ripped out earlier in the day. I have been wanting to knit this for quite a while, so she will have another cardigan to wear over her dresses. Her other cardigan that she loves to wear was one that I bought from Kmart a long time ago, and now it is too small, so hopefully this one will be a good replacement for it. Well that's it for now, hope you all have a wonderful day and I am off to catch up on my blog reading, have some breakfast and then do some knitting!

A trip to Brighton Beach

Today Paul and I decided to stop off at Brighton Beach, which is on the other side of Melbourne. It usually takes just over an hour from Melton to get there, but we hit a traffic delay on the Westgate Bridge which delayed us a fair bit. I had decided to take the kids to see the beachhouses there, and the photo which I took of them seem to have disappeared by the time we got back to the car. My camera has been doing that a bit lately, taking a nice picture, and then later on all that is left is a green blur where the picture was. I dont know why my camera does this, but it is becoming a bit annoying. Lachlan and Isabelle had a great time, but we did not stay for too long as it was so windy today and the sand kept blowing up around them. After we had been to the beach, we went to Rex Hunt's Fish and Chip shop. For those of you who dont know who he is, he is a fisherman who does tv programs on fishing spots, and helps with the restocking of the rivers and lakes around Australia. Paul and I actually saw him the first time we ever went there. So apart from the seagulls, there were quite a few people there due to it being school holidays. We sat down on the pier and enjoyed our lunch. I actually got a fair bit of knitting done on a new project too, but one row kept messing me around, so by the time we drove home I had had enough and I ripped it all out. How frustrating, after knitting one row about 5 times too. Well enough complaining about that, I must go and sew up the dinosaur jumper so that I can show you all tomorrow. Happy knitting everybody!

A New Pet

Lachlan has a new pet called Inky and he is a little skink lizard. We found him on our way to the newsagency, sitting there sunbaking on the concrete catching a few rays, so Lachlan caught him and took him home. We even went to the pet store and bought him live crickets which he can eat. I personally think that the crickets look pretty creepy, reminding me of spiders actually. They are live ones, and live on carrots. Isabelle has already decided that Inky will be both of theirs, and she loves taking him out and letting him run up her arm. Don't worry she loves that sort of thing. I remember when we went to Stitchery Blue one time, and there was a Christmas Beetle in the shop, and Isabelle caught it for the owner and played with it for about 40 minutes, letting it run up and down her arm. I think she has a love of all animals, including bugs. Anyway, Inky now has a nice home with smooth black pebbles in it, a lid with some water and two little crickets for him to catch and eat later. I will try and post a picture later on when the kids bring him home from mum and dad's. They could not let Inky miss out on a trip to nan and pop's house could they.

Anyway, enough about Inky, and onto some knitting content. I have nearly finished the first sleeve of the dinosaur jumper, and I finished up the left front of the CPH. At least I am making some progress on my knitting. I actually sat and watched Brokeback Mountain yesterday whilst knitting the sleeve, and I hope that today I can watch The Family Stone. I will try and publish Inky later on. Have a great day!

Dangerous Dinosaur

This is what I have been working on for the last 2 days. I cast on about 7:00pm Tuesday night and this is how far I have gotten on it. It is the Dangerous Dinosaur jumper from Handknits For Kids by Lucinda Guy. I really hate doing intarsia so I hope that the bumps will smooth out after I have finished it. There is supposed to be a dinosaur on the back too, but I am just doing it on the front. I know its cheating but I dont want to do it all over again, so one on the front will be fine. This is for my nephew who will be 3 years old in October so it should not take too long to finish up now. Maybe by the end of next week I hope. The kids are on school holidays as of tomorrow afternoon, so I may get some extra time in if they keep each other occupied. I have also been knitting another small item, but until I sew it up there wont be any photos. I hope it turns out okay, but if it doesnt it will go into the charity bin! Well I better get back to finishing the front and then it will be time to cook up some dinner.

Werribee Zoo

Today Isabelle's kindergarten went on a trip to the Werribee Zoo. I had not been there since Lachlan was about 4 yrs of age, and it had changed quite a bit since then. We had a safari tour to see all the animals, and then after lunch we went to the new hippo enclosure to see the hippos and the cheetahs.

First up these are the two cheetahs which have been there for quite a long time. These were here when I took Lachlan and they just walk up and down in front of the glass divider and around the enclosure. You feel as though you could just reach out and touch them, they are that close and are really quite beautiful I think.
Now here is Isabelle playing the african drums in a little hut. There are quite a few of these around which are good when you need a rest. Here is Isabelle posing on the hippo sculpture which is quite lifesize and water sprays out everywhere. All the kids loved the hippo playground and the water too.
And of course the hippos which did not move as they were too busy sunbaking. I think most of the animals were enjoying the sunshine too much.

Now here is the baby rhino, who is only 1 and a half years old. Isnt he gorgeous. He weighs about as much as a car engine and they have rounded horns. His mum's horn was quite sharp as they file them into shape off the tree trunks. His other brother was there too, who is about 5 yrs old.
Here is Anthony the oldest giraffe there. He is about 20 years old I think. I cant remember the other giraffe's name but he is a beautiful golden color and taller than Anthony. I think giraffes are my favourite animals. They look so tall and graceful and I just love their big eyelashes.

And last but not least are the Meerkats. These ones are based just outside the restaurant/cafe area and they come up to glass windows to look. I wonder who is really being watched, the animals or us. It was a lovely day out and all the kids behaved themselves really well. While we were eating lunch there was a blue bird with a red beak, and he actually kept going up to people and pinching bits of their lunch and sneaking off with it back to his little swamp. He was very amusing to watch, and even pinched a bag of chips off somebody.

By the way, thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. I did appreciate all of them. I did not get to finish the little project I was going to show today, so hopefully tomorrow I will finish up the last few pieces and be able to show him off then. I will also be able to show you all the Dangerous Dinosaur jumper that I cast on for last night. I think I am nearly up to the armholes. I wish I could have taken my knitting on the bus today, I might have finished some more but was afraid that maybe someone's eye could have been poked out with the needles. Well I am off to have a little rest and hopefully do some more knitting before I have to cook dinner.

The New Knitty Is Up

and the patterns are great in it. I knew it was due soon, and they seem to have covered a wider range of things in this issue. My printer is busy printing off the patterns at the moment that I really do like. One of my favourites is Sherwood, and the color is a gorgeous green, and the little boy modelling it is just so cute. I also printed out Ivy the wraparound cardi, Serrano the lacey cardi, Avaste the man's jacket with the patterned edging and the little backpack pattern which I hope to make one day for Isabelle.

I also finished the back to the CPH, and after reading the knitalong notes, I hope that mine fits me or otherwise it will be a pressie for someone at Christmas.

Now onto other exciting news, I finished Noelle's Christmas pressie, so Karyn DO NOT LET NOELLE see it on the computer please. I just love it.

The pattern is the Sail Jacket from Miss Bea's books. I knit the larger size but made it longer in the arms and the length. I hope that it fits Noelle and that Karyn likes it. I have finished one of Karyn's pressies, but that will have to wait until after she gets it for Christmas until I post about them. The receipients can't peek at their finished pressies you know!

Well I am off to knit a quick knit project now, so I hope it really is a quick knit. Photos tomorrow of the progress that I make. Happy knitting everyone!

Birthday Pressies

I had a wonderful birthday weekend with my family. On Saturday Paul, the kids and I went to Gisborne to have lunch at the hotel across from the football ground. We had been there about 6 years ago so it had changed a little bit, but the food was still delicious. We had chicken parmigiana and salad, and the dressing was delicious but I did not know what it was. The kids had some really nice fresh fish and chips, but their food is so fresh and tasty that we will definately be going back again. So on Sunday my mum, dad and sister and my aunt and uncle came up for lunch. We had a BBQ and cake, and then sat around and relaxed until about 5:00pm. I received lots of pressies for my birthday. Up above is the Green Tea perfume that my mum and dad gave me. I really like the scent of this and shall be using it when I go out, which is not very often though. I also received a new purse from Paul and the kids, and the color is actually a very dark red, but of course the color is not right in the picture.

I also received this gorgeous dish off my aunt and uncle, and I dont want to put any food on it, its too pretty. They also gave me a suncatcher which I have already hung up in my ensuite window.

And last but certainly not least is the present that my sister handmade for me. I was so shocked that she made so many things but I absolutely love them. She made me the little scissor holder with a pair of scissors inside, a little pin cushion and a lovely bag. I was so surprised when I opened it so it was really nice. She always makes nice things for family and close friends so I was quite delighted with these. Arent I a lucky girl! The photos do not show how gorgeous these really are but its the best I can get.

Now onto other things. I have some books to sell if anyone is interested in $AUS.

Rowan 40 magazine $40.00
Cafe Style $25.00
Classic Cafe $25.00 plus postage and handling.

If anybody is interested in buying any of them, just send me an email. I will accept a personal check/money order or electronic transfer. First in first served. If you need to see any of the patterns in the books you can look at the Rowan website.

I have also started my sister's vest that she wanted. I am going to order some yarn from Bendigo in the color Pink Opal to knit the Peace jumper from Classic Style. I absolutely love that jumper so it might be a birthday present for her in January. I also finished Noelle's surprise, so I will be ableto knit some more on my CPH since I seem to be behind on that compared to the others that I read about. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

5 Favourite Foods To Eat Before You Die Meme

Paul sitting on the deck outside our tent site at Mallacoota fishing.
I have been tagged by Gillian for the food meme going around blogworld lately. I'm not sure that I am as adventurous as some or as elaborate about the origins of the food but I can list mine and tell you why I like them so here goes:

1. I think one of my favourite foods that I actually cook myself is my chicken burritos, which we eat with mashed avocadoes and sliced iceberg lettuce. I slice the chicken up, add tomato paste, sour cream, creamed corn, red capsicum and sometimes onion, a bit of chilli and some garlic. The chicken is browned off first, then all the vegetables are cooked down and the sour cream and corn added at the end of it all. Then I wrap it all up in mountain bread, bake it in the oven until the bread goes all crispy and we eat it with the lettuce and avocado. Paul and I love eating this although I dont cook it all the time. Isabelle even eats it.

2. The next best thing that I love eating would have to be Mongolian Beef cooked at the Delicious Chinese Restaurant in Melton. The beef just melts in your mouth, it is so yummy and chinese food is one of my favourites.

3. Cornbeef with white sauce, carrots, mashed potato, cabbage and white sauce on it. I absolutely love cornbeef. It is one of my favourites that I love eating and Lachie likes it too, but he doesnt eat the white sauce. Actually Isabelle does not eat any red meat apart from mince so basically she just has chicken and fish.

4. Fresh flathead caught at Mallacoota and cooked on the barbeque. In February last year we went with Paul, his two brothers and their families and his mum to camp at Mallacoota for 2 weeks. The kids loved it and the guys got to go fishing everyday. We ate fresh fish for lunch and dinner nearly every night. My favourite had to be the flathead, and the guys filleted them so there were no bones in it whatsoever. They wrapped the fish in foil with butter and a bit of lemon, and it was so delicious. Mallacoota is a very beautiful place, and you can fish in the lakes or at the beach. We were camped on the lakefront so it was quite nice, and we even had fresh prawns which we caught in nets at nighttime when the moon wasnt out. If you looked out of your tent at night you would see the lake covered in people with flashlights and their nets and buckets trying to catch all the prawns trying to swim to the ocean.

5. My mum's lemon meringue pie which I absolutely love and I still have not made myself. I am very partial to things with lemon in them as Gillian would know with her lemon butter that she makes. Mum cooks hers from scratch and it would have to be my favourite thing that she still cooks, even though she does not make it very often.

Now it is up to the next few to list their five favourite foods:

Donna from Random Knits
Sam from Milotis 78
Karyn from Noeys Mommy Knits
Jane from Sister Knitter

You dont have to do it if you dont want to, but it is a bit of fun, and interesting to find out what other people like to eat. Some are very exotic and some I had never heard of before but interesting. Tomorrow I will post about my birthday and the pressies that I got. See you all tomorrow.

A bit of spotlighting

We girls headed off at 7:00pm last night to do a spot of shopping at Spotlight. My Auntie was down from her farm for the weekend, so she came along with mum, my sister, Isabelle and I. Even though it was raining, it was nice to have a bit of time out together. To the left is what I bought. Mum had found the clearance bins at the left hand side of the counter near the blinds department, and they were clearing their winter stock, and discontinued yarn. I bought a big ball of Vista yarn for $10.00 to make Isabelle something. I also bought 10 balls of 8 ply pure new wool in cream, and 1 lonely ball of red which I was hoping to find more of. It is a beautiful deep red and they were being sold for $2.00 a ball. I also bought Creme De La Creme in a nice sage green color to make a scarf for myself, and some more knitting needles, and a vintage tape measure. At the front of the store they had little boxes in all different sizes with a rose print on the fabric and they were only $2.00 to $5.00 each. I bought a $4.00 one but I forgot to photograph it. I will be putting it on my sewing table to fill up with cottons. They are also selling their vintage sewing accessories for 20% off so they are under $10.00. I love the vintage tape measure, so cute and I will photograph it later on. Isabelle got a little Santa sign to hang on the door at Christmas which is she is going to paint over the weekend. I had to post early as we are going out for lunch today to celebrate my birthday which is tomorrow. I cant believe I am going to be 38 years old. I dont think my years make me feel any different since I turned about 32 years old. We are having the family up for a barbeque tomorrow and Paul is cooking. Well I had better go since Paul has just made bacon and eggs for breakfast. I love it when he cooks! Hope you all have a good weekend.

It's Raining It's Pouring

So far it has been raining since about 11:30 last night. We desperately need the rain and I think it is supposed to rain until the weekend, then it will be bright and sunny hopefully. I took this picture just a few minutes ago from my front window just to show you how gray and miserable it looks outside. At least it is good weather for knitting, and I love being inside when it rains.

I also finally finished the back to Bo Peep last night too, before I took Isabelle to bed with me. She has been in a sulky mood lately, and tomorrow she gets her needle so I am hoping her mood does not get any worse. I love the colors in this Bo Peep cardigan. I am using Zara 8 ply and it is so soft. It is still one of my favourite yarns to knit with. I hope my friend's daughter will like it. I am just going to do the embroidery on the cream stripes I think. Hopefully it will turn out okay.

I also decided to take some pictures from the Classic Cafe book of 2 patterns which I intend to knit up after a few projects are completed. Broadway is the cabled cardigan and I love it, although I will need to knit it a bit longer in the length to hide my tummy rolls. I dont think it is a good look having that hang out for all to see. It knits up from a 32" to a 40" so the sizing is good. I can just use an 8 ply yarn which I already have in the color Mariner, which is a gorgeous flecked blue color.

And this one is called Jersey, and I am going to use some more Zara in a denim blue and beautiful green which I love. I wanted to find a project to use it in for me and I think this will be it. I think I am going through a stripey phase at the moment. I am also going to go through my Classic books and pick a new pattern for my sister. I dont like the one I am knitting at the moment, so I will have to get her to take a look through them and hopefully she will pick one (without the crochet edge on it) so that I can make it for her. I am still determined to learn to crochet, and my aunt lives just over an hour away so if I need any help I can call on her. She lives on a farm which have sheep, and she sells it after the sheep have been sheared to someone locally I think. I love it when she gets all the new lambs. She actually took photos of Lachlan and Isabelle a few years ago holding a lamb, and they loved it. They are so cute and adorable following their mums around everywhere. I think they had twins that year too, so that was a bonus for them. Her other sheep are the ones where the fleece just drops off and they dont need to be sheared. They look a bit weird when they run around with bald patches all over them. At least in summer they wont need to be sheared when it is hot will they. Well that is all for now, I must go and do some more knitting before the kids get home from kindergarten and school. Happy knitting everyone!

Steve Irwin R.I.P.

I just cannot believe that Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter has been killed by a stingray. I was so shocked to read that on the internet yesterday, and then last night all the news programs had stories on him. I feel so sorry for his wife Terry, and his kids Bindi and Bob. They were in Tasmania hiking up on Cradle Mountain, and had to be flown back. They will be devastated, as I am sure that most of Australia is at the moment. He was such a great inspiration about the wildlife and the environment. Such a great ambassador for Australia too. Lachlan was very shocked when I told him as he used to watch his shows and his movie, and we used to sit down together and see what he was up to next on the tv. I just hope that his Australia Zoo keeps running and encourages the next generation to do so much more towards preserving the wildlife and environment. My thoughts are with his family today and how awful and sad it must be to lose such an inspiring man.

Monday Mailman

has finally brought my books from Rowan. Rowan 40 has some nice things in it, much better than the last issue. I also received Classic Cafe and Classic Style which have so many beautiful patterns in them. I want to make nearly every one of them, but I will try and show you a few of my favourites over the next few posts. Well I am off to make my macaroni and cheese bake for lunch, and then off to knit some more.

Happy Father's Day

Paul and Dad had a nice father's day today. They sat in the garage and watched the footy. Mum, my sister and I sat in the rumpus room and did our crafts. My family came up for lunch which was roast chicken and roast beef with cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, carrots, corn and peas. Mum had made a trifle for dessert which was quite yummy. There is still so much left over that we will be eating it for the next two days. We also finally got some much needed rain last night and this morning. The garden will appreciate it, and it is now cold again outside.
I also finally finished Isabelle's tank top last night. She had fallen asleep by 7:30p.m. so she did not get to try it on until this morning. It fits perfectly and I love the color on her.

Pattern: Barefoot Knits Tank Top
Size: I knit the size 6 which was perfect in length and
width. Not too wide and not too short.
Yarn: Cotton Fleece, only 1 and a half skeins.
Started: Tuesday Finished: Saturday

This could have been finished in two days, but I was working on other things as well. The cotton fleece knits up beautifully and looks really nice. It is just the right length, and yes it did fit over her head quite easily. Now I just have to get some other things finished before starting on the dinosaur jumper for my nephew. It will be a 3 yr old size, so it should knit up quite quickly. I have also been working on Noelle's pressie which is coming along quite quickly, and I have started making Karyn's pressie too. I should be finished that by the end of the week hopefully. Well that is about it, I am off to do some more ironing, knitting and to cook the kids something to eat. I dont need to eat anything else today after what we had for lunch. Happy knitting everyone!

Spring Is Here

Tess (photo taken by Isabelle)
Finally we have been having some warmer weather. It has been around 23 degrees for the last 3 days, and no rain in sight. We are now back on water restrictions again, (dont know why we were taken off them) so the washing machine water will be watering the front garden. We desperately need some rain to fill up the water reservoirs since they are very very low. I have been outside trimming back all of the daisy bushes, putting in a few new plants, and weeding the back garden too. Now all we have to do is wait for the plants to grow bigger. I have still not finished Isabelle's tank top as yet, because Paul has been home all week. I try to do things by my normal routine but it is a bit hard when he is home. There was one good thing though, the hot water hose on the washing machine exploded yesterday, so Paul turned the tap off for me, and I had to clean up all the water that went everywhere. Luckily the laundry is tiled up the walls as well so it wasnt too bad. $35.00 later and the washing machine is as good as new. By the way, thank you for all the comments on Paul's jumper. I am so glad that it is finally finished. Paul did not realise I had put his face in the photo, so from now a smile will be in order. I also looked at the Magknits site this morning, and they have some really nice sock patterns in them. The patterns are all different this time, tops, baby sleeping bag, fingerless gloves, and they all nice. I will print out some of the sock patterns as they would be good to do in plain colors. After I finish up a few things I might start another pair. I also started the Trellis baby jacket last night for our neighbour. They are expecting a baby boy in November, and it is their first so I thought I would make it in a nice olive color. Well I had better go and do some housework before Paul comes back from Cheltenham, he was measuring up a job for next week's work. He should be back soon so I better get motivated and turn off the computer for a while. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and a great Father's Day tomorrow too!
