School Xmas Concert!

Isabelle's school concert was tonight. The school had planned for the grades to perform their songs on the back of a truck instead of being stuck inside a gymnasium. It turned out quite nicely too and they all performed wonderfully well. I always love watching the preps perform when they are up there too, they were adorable as always and really got into the swing of things. Isabelle is in the white t-shirt introducing the class song along with one of her favourite friends in the black outfit. Can you see the Santa dashing across - she did a great job too. I even made the chimney in class today as the teacher wasnt going to make any props for the song and since they were singing "Santa Got Stuck In The Chimney" I thought it would be a good idea and I even surprised myself with how well it turned out. Even the art teacher was impressed with my efforts! I havent made any props before so maybe I've discovered a hidden talent, lol!
Knitting news - still knitting my mini dishcloths, nearly finished them up. I can then start my xmas ornament and post them all off on Monday. I have nearly finished the pink jacket. I really MUST finish my sister's jacket or I wont have a birthday pressie for her and I really want this one to turn out nicely since she appreciates my knitted presents so much.
I have posted off my xmas cards, just a few left to do and then they are all done.
We have a family xmas party on Sunday at Paul's grandmother's house which is going to be a bbq. I am making a big dish of scalloped potatoes to have as a side dish too. I think I might have to make 2 trays though to feed everyone. She has all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids so it ends up being about 40 people! Lots of fun though as they are a very happy bunch. Okay off to knit a little bit tonight and relax ...... finally!

Brilliant chimney - well done. Props help to set the scene, but I bet the kids stole the show, esp your daughter!

It's so different having xmas in warm weather! We are about to get our first really REALLY cold spell for the year. Some snow too.
Hope the family party went well.
Cheers Gillian
