Pattern: Ishbel by Ysolda Teague (smallest size)
Yarn: Lush yarn - color tomato - probably about 75gms
Started: 20th January, finished 22nd January
This is the first lace project I have ever really knitted. I have to say that I followed the written directions for this pattern which is wonderfully written. However, I will never knit it again when the following occurs:
- Children trying to talk to you
- Knitting late at night when you should be in bed asleep
- Doing a row and then coming back to it later
I originally started this pattern in another lush yarn which was a beautiful brown color and I got to the lace part and tried to knit it 4 times. I got through Section A and B twice, dropped a stitch because one of the kids were talking to me and couldnt fix it. After the third time of this happening I ripped it all out and started again with the tomato color. No talking and more concentration helped too. I do not think I will be knitting this again for a little while but I would like to try and knit one for Paul's grandmother who is 90 in April. I think she would love it but I might try the shawl size next time!
