On ravelry they have many groups that run swaps for different things. I have joined in a few and they are always fun (unless your parcel is lost) which hasnt happened to me as yet. I do hope my swap parcel receives her parcel soon or I will be a little bit worried. My swap partner was Janet and she sent me a nice present all contained in the little bag pictured at the top. I received some lovely green tea which is supposed to be refreshing. Perhaps I need a cup today with this hot weather we are having. I also received 2 knitted dishcloths, a bar of spearmint soap which smells so good, and a beautiful scarf which she knit using some Debbie Bliss silk yarn. It is quite beautiful and I dont think I could master knitting that. Isabelle spied the scarf too and had to try it on straight away declaring how beautiful and soft it was. I did explain that she was not to sneak it out of my room and wear it. Thankfully the weather has been too hot for her to want to wear a scarf so I think I am safe. Thankyou Janet for your lovely parcel. Now back to knitting that second green sock that has been sitting there for months.

Swap Scarf
Lachlan was quite surprised this afternoon when I showed him the scarf I had sewn for my swap partner. He said to me "arent scarves knitted out of wool?". I had to laugh! It is the "No Sheep For You No. 5" swap. I had thought of making a lovely green scarf out of some pretty fabrics that I had in my stash and thought these were perfect. Isabelle was quite happy to model it too as you can tell by the photo. I think it turned out so nicely I may even make up some more as presents for Christmas which isnt that far away. I do hope my swap partner likes it.

Swap No. 3
What a wonderful morning to receive a package. It has been a rainy cold morning and after dropping Lachie and Isabelle at school I came home and received a knock at the door. My secret swap parcel had arrived and it was so exciting. Unfortunately they didnt reveal their identity so it would be wonderful if I knew who it was from.
In the parcel I received it all wrapped in the little pink project bag which I plan to use for my knitting. In the pink bag were the following goodies -
A pair of purple fetching fingerless mitts (I had planned on knitting some soon) so these were perfect.
A pair of teal cabled fingerless mitts (one of my favourite colors)
12 stitch markers (6 green and 6 teal) which are beautiful
A sheep tape measure which will come in very handy
A skein of Spider Sock yarn (color Algae) which is just gorgeous.
Thank you so much Swap Pal as you got my colors perfect and I love all of it.
