FO NO. 17

Baby Jacket with Ribbed Sleeves
Size: 6 to 9 months
Yarn: Cara cotton, 3 balls
I finally finished the gorgeous baby jacket from Special Family Knits today. I just finished sewing in the zipper, which is always a pain to stitch at the ends because of the plastic parts on it. It took me about 2 weeks to knit, but I was also knitting other things in between too, so it might have been done a lot more quickly if I had of only stuck to one project. I think it is very cute, although it is a lot brighter than the photo shows.

I also received my wonderful prize from Laura today. A beautiful skein of yarn which I think is just gorgeous and oh so soft too. Isabelle said that she loved how so soft it was and kept rubbing it against her cheek. It does feel wonderfully soft, and I will have to make something wonderful out of it too. Any suggestions? Thank you so much Laura, and it arrived so quickly in just a week too. Oh by the way Paul is much better about the car incident yesterday, as he went and made me some lunch for being nasty to me. Tomorrow he is back to work, so it should be nice and quiet here for me to finish up some things. I am going to be doing some sewing tomorrow for Isabelle, so I should hopefully have some things to show you all next week. Happy knitting and thank you for all the wonderful comments that you leave for me too!!

The baby cardi is so cute. I know what you mean about the colour being brighter because I have this Cara yarn too.

I had never tried to sew in a zipper into a knitted item, this must be very difficulty in my opinion. You did a really good job and I like the colour of this cute little cardi very much, so bright and cheery.
Let me please also Thank you here for your nice words about my Lizzi, I appreciated them very much!

Sue, your baby sweater is beautiful! You did a wonderful job on it. You're such a fast knitter! I can't get over how many FO's you have already this year!

Oh that is a very cute sweater, you are very productive.

Thank you for your lovely comment on my finished shrug. I am glad it actually goes with plenty, sometimes it is hard to tell on the skein.

Love your color choice (yellow is my favorite), I've never tackled a zipper in a knitted item. Machine sewing them into fabric is enough of a pain. Congrats on the prize yarn, it's very pretty

That jacket to soooooo cute! I love the yellow and I am sure it is even more cute in person with the right colouring. You are so clever, any attempts I have made have ended up at the op shop!

Great jacket! And yay for zipper - so far I only did it once - told myself never again - but fools always rush in!

Buttercup yellow, perfect. It looks wonderful in that jacket.
Wow, what lovely yarn. What ply is it? A nice lacy shawl would look great.

Hi Sue, Your comment on my blog came in as no-reply. The gold jacket is a garter stitch knit-all-in-one-piece from Family Circle Lovable Baby Knitting & Crochet. The yarn is some I got off eBay and didn't know what to do with it. When I've sewn the ribbon on at the neckline, I'll donate it to the Guardian Angle Knitting Campaign. I'm going to make a bigger one for my little boy :-)

The little jumper is so sweet. The finishing looks really good too - especially the zip.

Hi Sue! I came by to check out your blog after you had commented on my softie. You are an incredible knitter! I am amazed at how much knitting you get done. I'm also fascinated by "what's on the needles". Do you find you are more produtive with a whole heap of projects on the go? Does that help the boredom or staleness factor? Congrats on your prize.
The yarn looks gorgeous
