Digging Sweater

Pattern: Digging Sweater by Louisa Harding (MIss Bea's Colors)
Yarn: 8 ply wool, light blue - 7 balls
Size: 3 to 4 years
I knit this sweater for my nephew Benjamin. The color seems to look gray in this picture but it is actually a nice light blue color. I wish my camera wouldnt wash it out. I really like the patterns in these books, and have plans to make some more for a few birthdays, as Isabelle is too big for them now. They will always be kept in my knitting library as I really do enjoy all of them. I also visited Highpoint today to go to Borders. I grabbed a few books for a birthday and a xmas present, and I also bought a book called Never Knit Your Man A Sweater, you know the curse thing about not knitting before you get married. I really dont believe in the curse and I have my reasons to prove it as I made Paul 2 sweaters before we were ever engaged. I bought this book for the plain simple fact that it has some really beautiful sweaters in it, plus some nice hats and scarves too. Since I need to knit some for presents I think this will be a great resource to use. I will try and post about it later on as I am a bit short on time to do so today. Happy knitting everyone!

Really nice sweater! I haven't yet seen that book so thanks for the recommendation! I don't believe in the curse either.

It's difficult to find good men's knitting patterns... let us know what you think of the book.

What a dear little sweater.

I was just in Chapters the other day and looked through the Essential Baby, it has some really cute things, doesn't it.

I have that book, Never Knit Your Man a Sweater, and I think it's pretty okay. I like the new Rowan Knitting for Him a lot more.

If you get a chance to see the Knitting New Scarves book I'd recommend it. But that just may be me. I've finished the Tilting Squares and am about half way through the Stacked Wedges. Not sure which one will be after that, probably another simple one though.

Cute bugs.

What a gorgeous sweater this is! I love the details at the upper part - and I'm way impressed by how quickly you knit up these goodies! Very beautiful work!
