Pattern: Design A Sirdar 316
Size: 1-2 years
Yarn: Pure new wool, gray and red
Started: May 2008 Finished: September 2008
I have made this to add to the gift basket of baby knits. I have decided that it is better just to knit a larger size so when it grows perhaps it will get more wear out of it. Hopefully the recipient will like it. The only thing I hated about this was knitting the face, I really do not like intarsia knitting at all. After a gentle pressing with the iron it seemed to smooth things out much better.
Thank you too for all the wonderful birthday wishes and the lovely comments on the quilt that my sister made for me. I really loved reading them all and I will pass them onto my sister too.
Tomorrow some sewing to show you all!

Very cute!
I really don't like interasia either so I have sometimes cheated and sewn the picture on with kitchener stitch. If you do it carefully you can hardly tell the difference.
I've yet to try the intarsia thing but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I need to. Whoever's getting the basket is a lucky girl!
That's so cute, Sue! You're so clever with the knitting.
What a dear little sweater! Brought a smile to my face when I saw it!
Intarsia - uck. But it looks very cute!
