2008 - FO No. 41

Another knit off the list!

Pattern: Design G Roll Neck Cabled Sweater

Size: 5-6 years

Yarn: Smoothie DK, nearly 4 balls

Started: August 2008 Finished: today

I knit this for Isabelle hoping she could wear it through winter, but of course got sidetracked knitting other items. I sat down yesterday determined to finish off the two sleeves (one being already half done) and completed nearly the whole other sleeve today. After seaming it together I think it turned out quite nicely and I love the way the cables pop in the Smoothie yarn too.

Modifications: I knit the 5-6 year size for the width. I had to knit the sleeves for the size 7-8 years so they would be long enough for her arms which ended up being another 5cms added to the length.

I just need Isabelle to arrive home from school and the weather to be a bit cooler and I can get her to model it for you all. Now to pop on over to ravelry and add it to the list!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Just look at those cables pop! Smoothy is obviously a great yarn for cabling. Great colour too!

tough to top the pink number with the little bow, but this is also adorable -- am thinking it might be nice in grownup sizes too...
