warm fuzzies

Warm Fuzzies by betz white - 30 Sweet Felted Projects
This is a wonderful book full of exciting and fantastic projects which I fell in love with upon opening the pages. If you love thrift shopping for old sweaters or have a collection hidden somewhere then this is the perfect book for you. I loved every project in this book and will show you a few of my faves that hopefully one day I can do. It also uses needle felting too and since my mum bought me some for xmas I will be able to try it out and see how it goes.

The boy's robot vest which is fantastic. It would make a great gift too. You could always knit your own vest and just add the robot as well.

The icecream tape measure. Now I love those novelty tape measures. I have a bumblebee one
and a sheep one but I think this one is super cute.

Family Photo Album. I absolutely love this one. The applique on it is fantastic too.

The little girl's teacup sweater dress which is absolutely adorable. Isablle used to wear these style of dresses from Pumpkin Patch when she was little and they were so easy and comfortable to wear too. I love the mouse sitting in the teacup.

Now for all you apron lovers out there, and I know there are a few, this one is super cute. I love owls so I of course had to pop this one in. There are lots of other fantastic projects in this book, like bags and hats, a doggy coat, a knitting needle holder which looks fantastic with a big sunflower on the front of it, a kitty ladybird bed, hand puppets, blankets, the cupcake pincushions featured in the top photo and a few other wonderful projects too. I think this is one of those books that I look at and cannot wait to make something from it. I hope you enjoyed the peek at this book so that is it until the next book.....

I've got that book as well. I didn't make anything out of it yet, I just enjoy the pictures. I've lent it to a friend who made a cupcake pin cushion and it turned out great.
Can't wait to see you projects :o)

Do you think I'm too old for the teacup dress?

That does look a cute book but I don't think I'd have the patience to do that kind of stuff, not to mention I would probably not be able to find any old sweaters! Let us see what you make from it.

I love the cupcackes on the cover. I'll have to check the book out. I think the author the sister-in-law of a woman in one of my knitting groups. can't wait to see what you whip up from it!

What a delightful collection of patterns. I hope the weather is cooling down a bit for you so that you can start on one of them soon. We are in the middle of snow storms and whole sections of England are taking it in turns to shut down for a day or two.
Cheers Gillian

I bought that book too, I love it! I haven't made anything from it yet, but have always been smitten by the cupcake pin cushions ...

My few forays into needle felting have resulted in some very jabbed fingers, I don't know if it's a safe craft for me!
