I have been knitting some dishcloths for my swap partner but havent decided which one yet to send off. This one was very cute and thought I would try it out. It is the Paw Dishcloth by Amy-lynne Mitchell. The actual dishcloth is chocolate brown, not the funny looking color in my photo. I used size 4mm needles instead of 4.50mm as it created a nicer fabric. It only took a few hours last night to knit up with some kiddo interruptions about which showbags they are going to buy at the Royal Melbourne Show. My sister being the good auntie decided to take them this year so they are going on Sunday (hopefully the weather will be lovely). Isabelle is much better now too which is good, she had a dreadful tummy bug Thursday morning and spent the morning over the toilet bowl poor sweetie! I am so thankful no-one else caught the same tummy bug too as cleaning up sick is one of my horror jobs as a mum! Okay enough talk about germs - onto some other stuff. I ordered some of the new Harmony yarn from Bendigo Woollen Mills yesterday. I went to the letterbox and found their sample card in there and they had some really lovely colors. It is selling for $10.50 for a 200gm ball until the end of November, then I dont know if they are having it anymore. I am sure on one of the forums they said it was only for a short time but I hope not as it really does knit up beautifully. I spent some time yesterday looking on ravelry through the projects made out of it. I decided after looking to order the Sea Mist which is an aqua green color, just gorgeous. I also ordered a ball of red cotton as I want to make some fruit dishcloths for xmas pressies this year and it will be perfect for them.
I also purchased the Fall 2009 Interweave Knits this morning which was at my newsagency. They have some really lovely patterns in there this time and hardly any that I dont really like. I guess I like autumn/winter patterns better than spring/summer ones. Okay I am off to hang out the washing and hope that the showers stay away just long enough for it to dry!
Happy Knitting!
Sue

Oh, cute! I seem to have a dishcloth knitting virus that I can't shake lately ;-). Must get over it though, as I really need to finish some wip's and get on with Christmas knitting!
