Another One or Two!

Giraffes that is. The one on the right is Isabelle's with the spots. It actually resembles giraffes spots (well sort of) and the little dark argyle one on the left is just an extra friend whom I am sure I will find a home for soon. I love Claire's sock creature patterns and she is looking for people to test her owl mobile pattern too so pop on over if you feel like helping her out.

Other things that have been happening around here -

I have just joined up for Jodie's next dishcloth swap (the last one was so much fun). I have been looking for the perfect pattern and havent decided as yet. I am sure I will cast on by the end of the week and get organised.

Isabelle has been enjoying her swimming lessons with the school. The first week wore her out so much she fell asleep by 7 each night which was just lovely and gave me more time to knit too. She has so much fun in the water with all her friends.

She also has her dancing medal to get on Saturday morning, and then the floorshow goes for 4 hours Saturday night. I am taking my sister along to watch her too as Isabelle adores her auntie Narelle so she is very excited. It will definately be a long night! I am picking up her pink sparkly dress tomorrow night for her to wear. Luckily she will be able to wear it at Christmas time too as it is quite summery. I will have to remember my camera wont I. I dont think I will be able to take my knitting with me though, it might seem a bit rude!

Oh and today I turn 41, does that mean I can start counting backwards towards 21 again! Sometimes I wish it were true. Okay off to knit a few more rows......

Happy Birthday! I hope a nice slice of cake is in your future :)

Love the cute giraffes - I've been playing a bit with wool felt these days (making brooches) and enjoying it! At least they look like wool felt and not knit material.

Happy birthday from someone who reads more than she comments. Have a good day and enjoy the dancing.

I'm now into the grandma roster of school and sports events. Spelling bee finals this week for Miss 9, netball grandfinal which her team won last week, soccer final for her cousin, grandma day at school.

I think counting back is a jolly good idea. Wish I'd thought of that last month. It's been quite a hard year and i was feeling it on my birthday.
