Pattern: Basic socks
Yarn: Baby Shepherd 4 ply, 2 balls
Started: 3rd January 2010 - finished 8th January 2010
Needle size: 3mm
These socks turned out a little crazy when I started the heel but since my sister wont wear them with shoes that show that part I dont think it is too bad. I like the stripes at the top even though they sort of slant with the coloring. Okay 11 more to go for the rest of the year. I might need to skein a few balls of sock yarn today so I am prepared for the rest of the year. Anyone else want to knit along with Katt and I with the 12 pairs of socks!

They are great. I love the new look of the blog too.
I'm wearing a pair of my own knits today. I woke up to a frozen boiler condensate outlet and had no heating or hot water but luckily the plumber was able to slide two miles down the hill to come and fix things by lunchtime.
More sox would be really welcome right now so I might join in and use up some of that sock wool I have stashed.
Cheers Gillian
I love the kooky stripes.
I see you also have completed your first FO today! 5 days! Way to go! I also like the stripes at the top, blue and green is always beautiful! My sister would also like me to knit socks for her ;-)
Something in me wants to sing "over the Rainbow" or a song from "Wicked" (not that I have seen it yet or know any of the music!!)
That is a crazy stripe it has made. That is a good idea on how to get rid of some baby wool, knit socks, I should do that.
I will join your little 12-socks club!
really crazy looking socks, but totally adorable!
Great socks, pattern not withstanding. I can only manage six pair per year. Hope you can plow through twelve.
Awesome socks!
Wowsers - they are awesome!
