Happy 16th!!

Lachlan turned 16 today!  Oh my goodness has that gone by so quickly.  Here is the yearly picture I always take of him and his 2 mates.  Last year Lachlan was the tallest (centre), and Aaron was the shortest (right).  Now Mark is the shortest but Aaron is quickly catching up to Lachlan now so maybe next year Aaron might be taller.  He had lots of visitors today, 2 friends down from Wodonga and then my sister came over to see him.  Mum and dad popped in and then Isabelle called him from her nan's house.  (I am missing her a lot but she comes home tomorrow and sounds like she has had a great time).  My nephew Hayden has joined in the fun too.  They all went off to see Avatar which they loved, a great movie they told me!  They are now playing games and listening to music in the bedroom so I am sure by 2:00 tonight they might be tired.  Isnt that what teenagers do, stay up all night and sleep until lunchtime!

Okay so here are a few of the things I love about my son

- He is never worried about giving me a goodnight hug
- He is very caring and worries about us if we are sick
- He loves to cook
- He is maturing everyday in a way that I am proud of
- He absolutely loves to read books, there is always one open on his bedside drawers
- He is very very strong physically that he doesnt even realise it
- He is great at drawing although he doesnt do it much anymore
- He is kind and loving (most of the time, lol!)
- He has always loved cats
- He is very kind to his friends and especially younger kids too

Okay the only things that bug me ..... well boy things like not popping the empty toilet roll in the bin, or making his bed but they arent too bad are they.  In this day things could be a lot worse so I am very thankful that he is turning out to be a good person!

(Dont mind the ironing pile in the picture, I did do some of it but sadly it is like the magic pudding, you empty it and it fills back up again)

Happy Birthday Lachlan. I only met you once and that was long enough ago to say...Wow, you have grown!
Your Mum says lovely things about you so you must be taking after her!!!
Sue, what ironing pile? I thought it was a tastefully arranged throw.
Cheers Gillian
