Here is another little pattern that I finished sewing up yesterday. It didnt take too long to knit up at all, the picot edging took the most time!
Pattern: Lewis from The Enchanted Garden (by Louisa Harding)
Yarn: 8 ply wool from Spotlight, aqua - about 3 balls, purple - 1 ball
Needles: 3.75mm
Started: End of February sometime, forgot to write down the date!
Size: 1 - 2 years
I think this will be perfect over a long sleeved top or even a pretty shirt. I might make some more of these since I loved this one so much, although I have to admit that I didnt knit up the flower as I thought it would look too bulky on the top of the vest. Maybe next time I will try the flower addition. I might even knit up the boy's version in the book too. This is the second pattern I have knit up from this book and I might start the 3rd pattern today.
I have been to the gym this morning so it is perfect for an hour sitting on the couch whilst I wait for the washing machine to finish its load. I am hoping the big dark clouds outside will wait until my washing dries before it starts to rain! Okay off to do a bit of knitting ....

Hi Sue , I admire anyone who can knit but that little vest is just stunning , love it !
That is so pretty - it's great you get such pleasure from your needles and yarn!
Hugs - Lurline♥
I have washing out too and fortunately the clouds up here seemed to have moved away. and it's very windy, so things should dry. Love those colours together. Very pretty. I'm doing a picot edge to granddaughter's socks.
I love this little tip especailly the picot edges.
Very nice Sue! I'm always baffled at the amount of knitting you manage to accomplish -- you're amazing!!!
It's just precious! Love the sweet picot edging and the colors you used :)
So pretty! I love the picot edging.
So sweet! It's amazing how much time picot edging can take, but is sure is pretty! :o)
Tell me about the endeg - sometimes I have feeling I spent more on edges than on actual knitting!
I love the colour combination and the stripes - my girls both need vests for this winter...
Looks great Sue! I think it would look fab over a long sleeve top and jeans. Hope your washing dried in time. Mine finally came off the line after hanging there for days. X
Very intersting edging - well done. Don't think it needed the flower either.
Hey it's a lovely one - the picot really gives it the edge! I mean, of course it does, but, you get my drift, right?
very sweet! sounds like the gym is going well. I feel the same way, if I go to the gym, then I can sit on the couch!
The edging is so pretty. I love it. And great colours too.
