2010 - FO No 7

I have finished my second pair of socks for 2010!  These are for my sister's workmate who wanted to try a pair of handknit socks since my sister told him how great they were.  These are a men's medium which are huge socks and knit in DK yarn too.  The pattern was super easy to remember and I just knit them on 3 dpns instead of 4 which made it a lot easier to knit.
Pattern:  Bulky Boot Socks from The Little Book of Sox
Started: 13th February and finished 20th March 2010
Yarn:  Heirloom 8 ply wool, about 3 balls, denim blue color
Now off to start another pair of socks as I bought 3 balls of Moda Vera sock yarn yesterday from Spotlight as they seem to be getting rid of their sock yarn for $5.00 a ball.  You cannot go past $5 handknit socks can you and the yarn does knit up very nicely.  I just need to decide on a pattern.  I still havent found the cable blue sock pattern as yet so they are on hold until I do.
Happy Knitting!

Lovely socks - hope he likes them as much or more than he should! How nice of you to knit them for him.

$5 a ball - it was only reduced to $7.99 in Penrith (Sun. 14th) and they only ahd one ball!

What a lucky guy to get a pair of handknit socks. Hope he treasures them and takes good care.
Knitting men's socks seems to take forever with the endlessly long foot.
Love yours, they look perfect.
