2010 - FO No 9

Pattern:  Puddle socks
Yarn: Lush superwash merino sock yarn
Color: Heart Beat
Started: 30th March 2010
Finished: 8th April 2010

These socks are finally finished from my first sock club yarn from Lush yarns.  I have to say this yarn is so smooth and squishy and soft that I cannot wait for my next parcel to arrive, which should be any day!  I loved the pattern that came with the yarn and I am thinking of knitting up another pair in a different colorway around the middle of winter.  These didnt take too long at all and if I had of been dedicated to them I probably could have finished them sooner.  I did get distracted a bit by the school holidays!

I took Isabelle and her best friend to see How To Train A Dragon instead of Nanny McPhee on Tuesday night as they didnt want to see that movie but I really did enjoy the one we watched.  I am sure the girls were a little bit scared towards the end when they fight the big monster!  We did want to see Alice In Wonderland but her friend was booked to see it yesterday with her grandma so we might see it next Tuesday instead.  Yesterday was one of those days where you mentally struggle with everything when you have 2 children who decide to fight about every little thing and your in the middle of it.  Solution - send them to the grandparents for a while whilst you escape to the gym and destress.

Yesterday was my 4 year blogiversary but being a bit drained I didnt pop into say hello or mention it until today when I was feeling happier.  I have made so many wonderful friends (some of whom I wish to meet one day) and some very dear to me who offer me support when I need it (you know who you are).  This blog is very dear to me and helps me connect with all you wonderful people out there and allows me to show you my little family and my creations.  Today my follower list was up to 59 which to me is amazing in itself and I would like to say a big THANK YOU for reading my blog!  I will pop up a post next week when I have thought of a little giveaway gift for one of you lucky readers, maybe one of those pear pincushions and a little woolly goodness included.  Okay I am off  to enjoy some sunshine with the kids, they are back at school on Monday so some organising needs to be done over the weekend!

Happy Blogiversary! Good plan - pop the children off to their grandparents for a little spoiling :)

Happy blogiversary!! They're rather nice socks - I'm in awe of your productivity. I read a few knitting blogs of people who manage to start and finish projects within a few weeks, and I'm always amazed! (To put this in perspective, I don't think I've finished any of my knitting projects that were started in the last 12 months! Still plugging away though...)

I hope the last moments of the holidays are pleasant. xx

Happy Blog Birthday! I'm sure you have more than 59 followers -- there are probably some like me who follow you, but don't "follow" you (haha) -- if I "follow" people, it seems to do weird things to my google reader, so I just subscribe to them instead!
