A Tidy Up!!!

What did I do on the long weekend - well I bought the little shelf on the right and decided to have a go at tidying up my sewing nook!  I must say I feel inspired to sew a bit more now and hopefully should be able to sew a bag together for my mum for Mother's Day!  (I didnt realise how much stuff I had gathered either which was a little bit of a shock so maybe now is the time to start using it and putting it to use).

Knitting update - my green socks - the second one has been started!  The tiny tea leaves cardigan that I started for Isabelle has been ripped out as I didnt like the yarn I used to knit it in so perhaps I will start again later on in a different yarn.  I am planning on finishing up a bolero for Isabelle (which hopefully still fits) and a baby hooded jacket is nearing completion too.  I only have the hood and sleeves to go.  Perfect knitting weather today too, cloudy and grey.  I just hope it doesnt rain whilst I go to pick Isabelle up otherwise I might need to think about investing in a pair of gumboots!!

Wow, that looks so neat and tidy> I am envious, but not enough to do it myself. I am too overwhelmed!!!!! I long to be able to lay my hands on what I want!!

There are some lovely gumboots for sale up here. Paisley patterns, Russian doll, spots, stripes. No idea of the price but such a change from the black ones I wore to school when i was Isabelle's age.

Damn, now you reminded me of the fact that my craft room needs to be cleaned-up!

Grey day here too! My sewing has taken over the dining room! WM only objected to the ever-present ironing board and removed it but the machine and assorted quilting paraphernalia still occupy the room!

Ahhh, very nice. I love it when I have a clean room to sew in. It doesn't happen very often though!

You know what? I'm coming around to thinking that a pair of wellie boots (English Mr influence), could be an excellent component of this winter's uniform...

What a great space Sue!!! I love the little meatsafe looking cupboard to the left of the pic with the cow print lamp on top, just gorgeous!!!

I really need to do the same as you over the coming weekend I think as I'm sure I have loads of goodies hidden in several nooks and crannies throughout my craft-y space..

Thanks for the inspiration..

Hugs - Jodie :)
