Getting Back To Normal!

Things have been unusual around here for the last few days with me still not getting better and my shoulder pain getting worse, so off to the doctor's I went yesterday morning only to find out I had one of those yucky super bugs in my bowel system!  No wonder I was feeling so crappy and in pain for most of the week.  Anyway I have been given a super antibiotic which is actually working wonders and I feel like today I have so much energy.  I even vacuumed and washed the floors before 9 this morning!!  Okay so enough talk about my germs (and thank you all for the well wishes, I missed you all too) I thought I would play catch up with a few things.  Firstly, above is the last sock yarn from the Lush Sock Club which is named Sunshine and is just gorgeous.  I have plans to knit a cable sock pattern in this yarn.  My green socks from the last package only have half a sock to go so I am getting excited to start another pair soon.

I also went shopping at Jodie's online store before I became ill and her parcel arrived in the first few days of the dreaded illness which did cheer me up quite a bit.  I bought some of Jodie's cottons which are so pretty.  I am thinking of knitting some bathcloths with them as they feel so nice and soft.  I also bought a project bag and the Whimsical Little Knits 2 book.  I think I may have to go and buy the first one too now as they are full of great little patterns and I am thinking of knitting the beret in this book.  Okay well that is it for today.  I have finished a knit for Isabelle but it needs buttons and modelling and there is no sunshine today, just dark and gray.  I also pulled out another UFO of Isabelle's and have started the second sleeve and then it will be finished.  I am hoping it still fits.  I always seem to get inspired to start finishing off UFO's when I havent knit for a bit.  Hope you all have a wonderfull happy healthy day!

Goodness gracious, I am glad you are finally feeling better! It's scary when the doctors get it wrong, glad they finally got it right! Looks like some lovely yarn!

yes, we need to appreciate our health when we have it. Too easy to take forgranted.

I'm really pleased to hear things are improving!! At least enough to do some knitting, anyway!

Your new goodies look rather fun! I really like Ysolda's designs, not that I've finished any yet, but I have several in my Ravelry queue!

I have both Whimsical Little Knits and have knitted Ishbel and Peaks Island Hood. Her patterns are very well written and great fun to knit. Worth getting the first book too!
(glad you're feeling better)

So glad to hear you are feeling better. Hope the antibees work. Don't forget to take them all, even if you feel better half-way.
Cheers Gillian

You've really had a bad dose of it! Glad you're on the mend.

I finished my Brangian shawl in the Lush 50/50. It's not blocked yet, it's very dark and wet here too.

I've done several of Ysolda's patterns and like them very much. I have the first book but not the second. I downsized the Ishbel beret for Miss 5 by using some 4 ply alpaca from Wired for Fibre and smaller needles. She loves it. Ishbel is in the first book. I've done the shawl and beret twice each.

Take care and get lots of rest.
