Highland Wool
Have you been to the Bendigo Woollen Mills website lately? They have another new yarn out which is like a tweedy sort of yarn with little flecks through it. This is what arrived on my doorstep today (whilst I was out and Paul was home of course - thankfully no dirty looks today about the parcel of wool). It has passed the touchy feely test and is very soft indeed so it should be perfect for Isabelle's cabled hoodie. This color is Loch and I am going to go back and buy some more in different colors. It is only $12.00 for a 200gm ball until the end of July and then it goes up to $16.00 per ball (correct me if Im wrong please). I think this is a bargain for this wool and I am sure I could pop some into my stash for a cabled hoodie I want to knit for myself that I found in one of my knitting magazines. More on that pattern later though when I actually start it. I just have half a sleeve to go on Isabelle's bolero/cardi and some buttons to pop onto her Olearia and I can start the hoodie. She is in need of more winter knits as most of the ones I made her last year are now too short in the waist and the arms! Oh well more knitting for me.
Thank you to everyone for your well wishes. I am happy to report that the second infection seems to be clearing itself and I am feeling so much better. I think last night was the first night in about 2.5 weeks that I slept without pain. Yay!

So glad you are feeling better Sue. That yarn does look rather yummy.
anything tweedy is fine by me. I'm very keen to try it out too!
I had some wool arrive yesterday in the post, while my 8 year old was lying on the sofa feeling a bit under the weather. He saw the parcel and said, disappointed 'I bet it's wool'. Sorry, little guy!
That teal is beautiful!
I like the look of that yarn too! I am going to patiently wait until I go to Bendigo to get some though, I'm looking forward to seeing the colours in the flesh, so to speak.
But I like the look of the Loch colour already..
Someone once sent me some lovely Bendigo Mills wool - I knit my Clapotis out of it. It was fabulous, and your new yarn is beautiful!!
I really like that coloure!
Also I am glad your health is coming back!
Glad your health is on the improve and thank you for the info on the new Highland. I looked yesterday but was interested to know if it was soft or not
The colour chart for Highland (a printed sheet) arrived last week - very disapointing in the "hands on" stakes! Loch is a lovely colour - Isabelle should be pleased.
The yarn looks good & I love the color. Must pop over to Bendigo to check it out.
oh no! another new bendi yarn i need to try. thankfully i too will be there in a month to check them out in person. great colour choice!
I am so glad you are feeling better! Love the new yarn. The color is so pretty! I can't wait to see the sweater you will knit with it.
I wish I could visit Bendigo Knitting Mills Shop.
Maybe next year I shall visit and fit that on my list.
Don't worry Sue....if I'm anywhere near Bendigo, you will be top of my visiting list. It is a possibility.
Cheers Gillian
I am envious! I really want to try Bendigo Yarns. That is such a great color. Very glad to hear you are on the mend.
oh sue that is a lovely colour!!!!! I just couldn't get colours from the shade card but that would look really as a contrast with the montrose I bought
i agree, buy more! I love bendigo! my only problem is those 200g balls do take up space so its time to get knitting/crocheting/using it up
corrie;)
