2010 - FO No. 17

Pattern:  Citron (from knitty.com)
Started:  Start of July and finished today (still needs to be blocked though)
Yarn:  Sock yarn (unfortunately it has no label so if anyone recognises it please let me know)

Citron is a really beautiful pattern and I looked through my sock yarns trying to find one that had enough yardage.  This one had no label but it seemed like it had more meters on it from the look and feel, and when I finished last night I still had a small ball leftover!  I really like the colors in this as it reminds me of the fish pond my nana used to have in her front garden, looking into the deep water and seeing the different colors in it.  I will try and block it through the week so it will sit nicely.  I am very tempted to find a solid sock yarn to knit another one in but I might wait a little bit as I have some other knitting to finish, including the second sock of Isabelle's.

Other news, I now have a new camera courtesy of my parents, for my birthday in September.  It is a Samsung ES25 and it as 12 megapixels which is a lot better than my old camera which had 2.  I just need to get used to using this one as it has a nice little program where you can make it lighter, darker and other little tidbits which I am still to work out how to use.  I managed to work out how to upload photos today by myself and you have to drag them from one program to another which is a bit annoying but I will get used to it eventually.  Lachlan seem to love the new program as he was changing things on a photo of himself and it looked like someone had squashed his face in half.  Isabelle and I couldnt stop laughing so he got rid of it so I cant show you how funny it looked!

Okay off to the shops to grab a few bits and pieces for dinner and wait for the kids to get home from school.  I am hoping Paul isnt working on the weekend so I can sneak up to Bendigo to the show.  I havent been for quite a few years but I have been reading about other people going and would love to meet them in person.  Fingers crossed!

It's lovely and the colour is sort of Impressionist River Seine!!
My friend's new camera can give you a smile: it makes everyone look more than a little demented!!

Your Citron is just gorgeous Sue! I am looking forward to getting a bit more knitting experience so I will be able to knit something like that myself. Have fun with the new camera.

I love the color of your citron! So many that I have seen are solid or semisolid colors.

I am knitting a Ciron as well! I love the way yours turned out! I started with sock yarn and switched to lace, so mine looks airy.

(I'm still a novice, so I just look at creations like this and yearn for the day when I'll have the mad skills to knit like this)!
