Bright Young Things!

This is the second book by Milla Mia.  It is full of beautiful patterns for children up to age 5 years.  Isabelle had a look through this book and was disappointed that none of the gorgeous patterns would fit her!  I have to say I would have liked a few in her size too but I dont think you can shrink children to a size you like.  At least my soon to be nephews and my god-daughter will get a few knits from this book.  I also discovered that it is cheaper to buy this book (with postage included) from Milla Mia's website than in Australia.  I did try to upload the pictures of the index pages to show you the other patterns but blogger is being naughty today and wouldnt let me do anymore.  Okay off to enjoy the sunshine today, it is beautiful outside like a perfect spring day!

I would have loved to get these 2 books, but mine is too big too- I'll keep them in mind if i'm lucky enough to have another one!

That looks like a gorgeous book Sue. Full of the sort of beautiful patterns that are the reasons that I started to knit yesterday. I am very excited to see what you knit out of it. And I am not at all surprised that Isabelle is disappointed that nothing will fit her.

isn't it lovely!!!!!!!!!! I am just loving this book and cast on for the bolero - thankfully I just fit in the sizes but did you see on ravelry they were looking for feedback on their new book so I'd definitely let them know some bigger sizes would be great!!!!!!!

and I have you to thank of course for getting me onto this lovely book

Hi, I have knitted up some of these gorgeous patterns and if it helps they are very generously sized ie. a seven year old could probably manage the largest size (just!)...

I'm with Isabelle! What a great book with fantasitc patterns. I think the stripey dress on the cover is my favourite, although that little cross over front cardy is very cute too. Have fun with it.

Hi Sue,

Thanks for the comment on my blog post today. The pattern I am attempting to knit is this one - http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/70202A.html?r=1

In Row 1 of the back it says to increase 8-10 sts evenly spaced across row, which is a rib row. So do you just increase in either knit or purl depending on what stitch you end up increasing on?

If that makes sense!!

The book looks lovely too, but a little beyond me yet! :)

The book looks great, pity mine are all bigger than that too!

On an unrelated note, can you email me at jackikelly@optusnet.com.au so that I can email you the cabled cardi/jacket pattern! Thanks. :)
