Sorello and Fratello

Sorello - size 10 years for Isabelle

Fratello - size 7 years for my nephew Benjamin
I joined in with Tikki's Mystery KAL on ravelry! What fun it has been doing a mystery knit without knowing how it will all look when completed.  I started the Sorello pattern for Isabelle in BWM Allegro (color Wild Apple) which is wonderful to knit with.  Thank goodness my cast on was nice and stretchy as it fits nicely over her head!  Since I am now knitting away on Clue 3 we are allowed to show everyone Clue 2.

Fratello is for my nephew's birthday next year (I still havent gifted him the last sweater as yet).  I am using Panda Magnum Soft 8 ply in a nice bright green.  I love the cables on this one and perhaps I might knit up a few more later on as gifts as the sizing starts from babies right up to Isabelle's age or older if they are a tall skinny mini!  Clue 3 allows us to knit the length to suit the child so I will be knitting for quite a while yet on Isabelle's.

Today is perfect weather for knitting too as it has been raining and my hayfever symptoms seem to have mostly gone away.  I was in bed wide awake last night waiting for all the itchiness to subside.  I think I should have just stayed awake and knitted through it somehow.  I have not really suffered from any hayfever but a few months ago when everything started growing gorgeously in the garden my left eye started feeling sore and itchy and my throat was too, with the occasional sneeze thrown in for good measure.  Now it seems both eyes are affected, my nose drives me nuts running, and my throat was so itchy yesterday too.  I go for a visit to the doctor tomorrow so I might ask her what is the best thing to do to deal with it.  If I do have hayfever please dont tell me I will be like this all summer, otherwise every sunny day will see me inside not venturing outside.  It seems to play up on the sunny days and once it rains I feel much better.

Okay back to my knitting so I have something to take tonight that I dont really need to concentrate much on, otherwise I might muck it up since I seem to chat so much with the girls!

Ohmygosh -- I can't believe how much knitting you get done! As for the hayfever -- you need to come up here for 6 months -- everything will be frozen!

A knitting mystery sounds like a lot of fun! Can't wait to see how both of these turn out.

The jumpers look so good with the cables & top down knitting is my kind of knitting too. I suffered from hay fever too & it's worse during windy days.

I get allergies from time to time and have found the chemist brand of Telfast is the only thing that stops the itchiness and the watery eyes and nose. Sounds like the pollen is upsetting you?

Your sweaters are looking lovely indeed. Hope you have fun knitting with your friends!

Hello there! Love the pattern on both of those little sweaters. KALs are fun, aren't they? Hope your runny nose soon clears up. Have a good week. Ros
