2011 - Item 4

Pattern: Milo by Georgie Hallam (Tikki)
Size: 3-6 months
Yarn: 8 ply Homemakers acrylic (about 60 gm)
Needles: 4mm circ (40 cms length)
Started: 17th January 2011 and finished 19th January 2011
This was a very quick knit and oh so cute too. I had to see how the yarn would knit up once I got past the sleeve area and it came out in these cute little ziggy stripes! Tikki always designs such great patterns that I am eager to knit up some more too. I omitted the cable from this one as I thought the yarn had enough going on with it and the cables wouldnt be that easy to see. Maybe down the track I will do as solid color and add some cables! Isabelle's Tiny Tea Leaves cardigan is finished too apart from sewing on buttons. I am feeling a bit frazzled today as I had a morning where your child decides that she needs to be in a mood at the shopping centre so of course by the time we had finished I was in a very bad mood. At least tonight I have knitting group which should be lots of great fun and I get to meet Bec tonight too! I am really looking forward to it.

Oooh, just lovely. Amazing colours and just right for summer wearing. Very tempted to have a go at this....once the scrap yarnbusting is over!

Such a cute little pattern. I have yarn in almost the same colours but 4ply, just wasn't too sure if it would be too "bright" for a baby. Thanks for this it helps

This is so pretty! I absolutely love the self striping yarn on this top - and the colors are great too. I agree that a cable would have been too much with this yarn - so this turned out perfectly.

You're so FAST!!! Though I completely understand that wanting to see how the yarn colours will work out in the main part of the piece can motivate some pretty seriously fast knitting. I think thats why I've gotten so far with the sock I'm knitting in not very long (for me) :-)

I love it Sue! I love how the stripes change after the neckline. I might have to do a stripey Milo too now. I hope Ms Isabelle had a happier day today.
