Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us!

I am joining in with Ginny this week as I have started reading some novels again.  I decided to see if my local library had any of the Maggie Sefton stories and to my surprise they had the last 4.  I decided to borrow them all and see if I can get through them  all in the next 3 weeks.

I also started knitting the Fisherman's pullover from the book 60 Quick Baby Knits.  I am using some bottle green Heirloom Dazzle yarn that I had in my stash.  I think it will turn out quite cute in this color, although you cant really tell in the photo as it looks so dark!  I am knitting the 18 month size for one of my twin nephews, perhaps Lucas.  I dont know what pattern to knit up for Jai as yet but will plan that very soon.  It is just going to be a winter pressie for nothing in particular, just because I hardly get to see them and I love them so much!

Happy knitting!!

Hi Sue.........love the fisherman rib jumper, it's been a while since I've enjoyed some 'small people' knitting. It looks like you'll be doing some serious reading over the next three weeks too. x

Nice choice for your knitting and reading. It has been too hot for knitting and all I can manage to read is the newspaper. Maybe if the cool weather keeps up I can manage a novel or two!!

The little fisherman sweater looks so cute - I think it will look great in that green color. I have just posted a work-in-progress on my blog but I am not reading any books currently. I will have to pick something up at the library when I take my son this week.

Can't believe we are reading the same book. I have just finished reading the book & going back to the library to borrow more. I am currently knitting Spring Tee.

That little sweater looks great. I have too many things on the needles at the moment but can't seem to help myself ;) Here is a taste: http://paradisefoundkerrie.blogspot.com.au/

I am in the middle of knitting a scarf; I wanted to try a particular pattern and had some lovely wool I wanted to use.
As for reading; I am in the middle of a Steven King novel. And thanks to my Christmas present, an Acer tablet, I discovered the other day I can knit WHILE I read; awesome! (Not sure what that says about my attention span!)

The jumper should look great when it s finished. Can't wait to see it

Sometimes when I'm knitting nothing but stocking stitches I can even do a little nap! No kiddind!
But when it comes to crocheting - all I can is listening to the TV at the best!

I enjoy the Maggie Sefton Books, they are fun. Aunt Dimity series is fun and light too.
I am reading the Underland Chronicles: Gregor The Overlander: Book 5 Prophecy of Time. I am making the caliormetry for my runs.
