Hi there! Sorry for not blogging for a while but I have been dealing with some issues from the last few posts and am happy to say that the anxiety is mostly under control for the time being. I went to see my doctor and she was wonderful. Things are in place for more lifestyle changes and a few health issues in the future which makes me happy. I feel like I can be normal now instead of panicking about where I might have to go and who to deal with, but my driving this week has been fantastic, no anxiety or panic which feels oh so good.
Now onto the knitting... I had to buy batteries for my camera so that I could actually take some photos. They had gone flat the other day when I went to take a picture and then this morning I remembered to buy some so it is all good. Up above are some yarns that I bought at the Bendigo Woollen Mills 2 weeks ago. Isabelle and I travelled up there with my parents. It was a very foggy morning and cold too making it slow driving up to Bendigo. I bought some beautiful Murano yarn which are the 2 colors you see in the front (purple and pink). I had knitted with this before and it makes a nice squishy baby knit or something you could wear around your neck. Isabelle wants the purple in a scarf or cowl so it is in the queue for future. I havent decided on a pattern as yet. The 2 other pink yarns are Cameo which I have never knitted with before but are so soft I wish I had gotten more. I also got some more Duet which is a discontinued line also in the red and darker purple. The mixed pinks in the back row is a dyeing experiment BWM sometimes do. It isnt as soft but the sample looked so nice knitted up. I also bought a ball of the Harvest yarn which is a tweedy fleck yarn but very nice. It is in the Laurel colorway and will hopefully become something for one of my nephews. I think all that yarn should keep me busy for quite a bit. I surprised myself with buying so many girly colors this time around.
I also finished my Mabel socks (a design by Sadie of the Blue Ruin podcast) out of Soft Like Kittens colorway in the Beetroot colorway on the Noodle sock base. I love this yarn and Annette dyes up some gorgeous colors. She is on etsy if you just search the name and your interested in buying her yarns. She is from NZ so her prices are quite good. I am also knitting on my dad's vest. It is for Father's Day in September and I have already finished the back, and am halfway up the front so I am sure it will be finished in time.
So I think for now that is about it for the knitting. I hope you all have a wonderful week and I will try and post some more shortly.
Sue!

Sue, it's really good to see you back and thanks for the comment on my blog this morning too. Those yarns look lovely. Lots of happy knitting in them for you.
So glad things are slowly improving x
Very pretty socks Sue. Glad to hear some of your medical issues are being worked out. Happy knitting with all that beautiful yarn!
I am so glad that your doctor was lovely and that you are feeling things are back the way they should be. It is good not to feel panicky or sad!! Such pretty wool, and lots of girly colours. I saw the laurel in green, but I am more into emerald this year. Such pretty socks, and I do look at the wool she dyes. I have far too much and am trying to knit socks from my tub of wool!!
I'm glad you are feeling better. That's some lovely wool you have purchased, and the socks are great. Beetroot perfectly describes the colour!
Great to hear from you and lovely yarn. I do miss the BWM. It's pretty unique and there's nothing like it here.
Cheers Gillian
Lovely yarn purchases. The socks look great too and glad that you are feeling better.
