guess who won 1st prize in the Fire Brigade Coloring Competition last night for Grades 1 and 2! That's right, Isabelle did and I was so proud of her. The local Fire Brigage hold one every year I think, and there were 11 primary schools participating so she did rather well. She received a very favourite book (one that she had been asking for at the bookstore) Pearly and Great Aunt Garnet. We love these books to read and the drawings are nice too. Wendy Harmer, an aussie comedian wrote these stories and Isabelle has a little collection of them over the last few years from when they were released. We read this one last night in bed and then Isabelle read it to herself before promptly falling asleep, and little snoring sounds were heard, lol!
