FO No 7

Pattern: Cable Yoke Jacket from Simply Baby by
Debbie Bliss.
Yarn: 8 ply pure new wool, 3 1/2 balls
Started: 14th February Finished: 20th February
Size: 9 - 12 months
This was a quick and easy knit, and I loved the way the cables popped out after knitting it. I think I will give it a good pressing to straighten out the bump where the zip is though. I dont know whether it would really fit a 9 month old though, I think it looks more for a 6 month old baby. I always had the impression that her patterns turned out quite big but this one may have been smaller since the pattern actually used cotton instead of wool. I think this is the first project I have finished in the colorway for PS too, so a double bonus there. Now I am off to pick out another pattern to knit up and use some stash too.

How quick did that happen. It would take me at least a week to knit that.
It looks great, you did a superb job.

You are a knitting machine!!!

I am finding it hard to knit in this heat..That or its the fact I dont want to be knitting the birthday cardigan I have to get finished in 11days!! lol.

Better get my butt moving so I can get back to the smaller things that are ok to knit in hot weather! lol

I LOVE that jacket! Its just GORGEOUS!

I concur with eveyones comments it is a lovely jacket. The zip looks good. (don't press the zip to much and end up with a sealed zip like grumperinas)

The color is lovely. I'm impressed with all your zipper sweaters, they intimidate me!

Wow - that was fast. And I like the colour you used wayyyy better than in the book. In the book, I looked at the sweater and thought "Meh, take or leave". In this colour "Wowzers!". Great job.

Such a beautiful sweater - and unbelievable speed!! I'm obsessed with Debbie Bliss baby patterns lately. I think I have about 5 projects from her books in the queue (and I don't even have any kids of my own)!

Beautiful! And a lovely color, too. My sister is expecting, and I had passed right by this one in the Simply Baby book -- now I have to reconsider!

The finished jacket is lovely, and such a practical little garment too. You must be a quick knitter.
