FO No. 14

Pattern: Jill from Classic Babies (Rowan)
Size: 6 to 12 months
Yarn: 8 ply wool, about 3 balls of burnt orange
Started: 23rd April Finished: 27th April
This is such a cute little cardigan, although my embroidery of flowers leaves a lot to be desired. There are red flowers in the baskets too, but it is hard to see them in the photo. The buttons are actually quite nice, with bits of pink and yellow sparkles through them, and it does look quite cute with all the colors. I wish my camera was working a bit better, but alas I did sort of drop it on the desk this morning and it went all funny. I thought it was broken but then it came back on, so I hope there is no permanent damage. I am off now to start a new project, but I will tell you what it is when I have at least one piece finished. Oh and some good news today, Isabelle's little friend now has a new baby brother, so I must go through the knitted goodies and see what I can give to baby Jack for a present. I am sure he is gorgeous and Isabelle will be quite excited to wrap up the pressie and post it off too!

That is one gorgeous cardigan, and you are so quick.
I keep seeing all these little garments and am reminded that time is running out for me to knit for my soon to be born grandchild, and also for a friends soon to be born grandchild.

Responding to your comment on my blog. You are so right, I really should make that note to myself to get started, and I agree, they don't take very long at all.
Funnily, I didn't get an e-mail alert that your had post to my blog as I usually do. I got one for other comments. How strange.

adorable!

I just got your fabrics this morning...seems the parcel went via france which is a bit unusual! no wonder it took so long...I'm a bit annoyed as I didn't receive both Amy butler books I ordered...anyway!

i'll work out how much it is and let you know...it was the weekender pattern and the fabric!

Thanks
Corrie:)

This is so cute and such lovely embroidery. Knitting baby things is so satisfying.

In answer to your question, yes I did make them, from start to finish. I love the way sewing is much quicker than knitting, I sew in the day and knit in the evening, perfect.
