Isabelle stayed home Friday as we both have ear infections at the moment and havent been feeling very well either. She enjoyed having the kitten to play with though and distracting her from her sicky feeling. Apart from having to clean up a few little accidents she has been quite good going to the kitty litter. She has quite a few fleas too which we are trying to get rid of with a daily douse of flea powder. I also discovered that Isabelle again has lice eggs and had to comb her hair thoroughly yesterday. I guess I will be doing that for the next 10 days to make sure no head lice appear. We had 6 months of this last year on and off and I was hoping to skip it this year. It drives me insane and hurts Isabelle too having the lice comb go through her hair so much, especially not feeling the best as well. So apart from the sicky germs and the nasty hair bugs everything else has been okay. The knitting has been slow going this week. I have been attempting to knit a cat pj bag for Isabelle and realised after knitting the head that I used the wrong sized needles so I need to reknit that part. I am hoping to get the rest done this week if nothing else pops up and Isabelle will be home tomorrow too so I should get a bit of knitting time to do it. The cabled bolero has the back done and half a front too. I really should start some more on this one too. I also have 5 babies to knit for in the coming months, around June to November so I have been looking through my books trying to knit NEW patterns that I havent tried before. Oh and if anyone has a copy of Alan Dart's gnome pattern I would really love a copy for Amanda. I bought that issue and do you think I can find the pattern, no of course I cant. I know I put it somewhere to knit it at a later date but after searching yesterday, well no luck! If you have a copy you can part with just email me on pmci7823@bigpond.net.au and let me know. I would greatly appreciate it! Speak to you all later and have a wonderful weekend.

Tilly the Kitty
Here is what has been keeping our family busy for the last week. Tilly the kitty arrived via Lachlan's friend. His stepdad found this little munchkin wandering around the city centre on a busy road about to be run over by a car. Fortunately they already had a few cats and their friends wanted a boy kitten, so she came to live with us. Lachlan was excited to have another kitten in the family. Bella seems to like her too and trys to keep licking her face which I dont think Tilly really likes. It is so funny to see Tilly chasing Bella around the house and they both love playing hide and seek in the front room with the couch cushions. She is such a placid friendly kitten too and quite cute.

Awww, Tilly is so cute! Kittens are always nice until they grow up to be grumpy, temperamental cats like ours...lol. Hope you chase away the germs and the hair bugs soon. The bub caught the sniffles yesterday, so the winter bugs have started early at our place.
What a gorgeous little kitty! She is so cute!!
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling the best. There's nothing worse than sore ears. And as for those bugs - grrrr. They are a nightmare to get rid of, aren't they.
Thanks so much for putting the call out for the gnome pattern! I really appreciate it.
Cute kitty - hope you are both feeling a little better.
What a dear little kitten and with such a lovely name. Glad she fits in so well with your whole family.
Good luck with the bugs and germs and knitting!
Kittens are always a blessing... when thy grow up... well, I had had better experiences with boys than girls. But they are SO cute!
Sorry to hear about the infection... and I am actually beyond myself with the lice situation. The more you look around the more people seem to have problems with it!
Anyway... I am Web Loony and will be here and there putting my head everywhere I find something that calls my attention... ;)
Be well.
Awww cute kitty cat!
And poor Isabelle...nits and lice is something I am *not* looking forward to when the kids start school! They seem to be worse than ever lately!
There's nothing cuter than a kitten. Now, to correctly train her to train you, you'll want to purchase my scathingly funny book, The World Is Your Litter Box, which is in bookstores now. The book is cleverly disguised as a cute cat book so humans will buy it, but is, in fact, a how-to manual FOR cats. Check it out on my website, www.theworldisyourlitterbox.com.
Have you tried ti-tree oil in the shampoo; I have a friend who swears by it!
BTW, cute kitty!
what a cute kitten. 5 babies! no wonder you knit so many baby sweaters! I can't even seem to finish one. Yuck about the lice...a discovery I have yet to make although I know it'll happen one day.
Tilly is adorable! I hope you're all feeling better. I must say I don't look forward to battling lice, it sounds very frustrating for everyone. Wow, you have lots of babies to knit for too!
Such a cute kitty! I hope your daughter is feeling much better!
Cute Kitty. UGH I hate the lice. I have worked in schools in the south and it is rampant! After you get rid of it have you tried making sure she keeps it up and putting hair spray or gell in her hair? Lice hat dirty hair and gel and haircare products make it hard for the lice to get a hold of the hair shaft. You can also try letting her sit with olive oil or mayo in her hair 1X a week for an hour and then wahsing her hair.
I have spent a LOT of time with the lice issue:)
I live the finished baby sweater!
Have you tried using a hair dryer? Supposedly it roasts the lice. If you wash and hot-dry their hair daily after school (the usual source) before bedtime, the bedclothes stay clean.
oh she is so cute! I adore kittens as does keira but sadly dh doesn't and we will kind of have our hands full in our house!
soooo cute
Corrie:)
