Grade 1 Christmas Concert

The Christmas concert went well. All the kids had a great time and Isabelle did really well. She was stressing out before we left home, a bit of nerves I think but was much better once we got home. She is now home today with a head cold, constant running nose which drives her a bit batty to say the least. Here is a picture of her with one of her teachers (Susan) who is a wonderful teacher and was her Prep teacher last year too. You can see the 2 Grade 2 boys being their usual cheeky selves. They are all wearing their koala ears and noses for their song "I am not a koala BEAR". Funny how everyone seems to think of them as bears as they are marsupials (which means with a pouch) for anyone who doesnt know that.

The concert was for the grade Preps, 1's and 2's. I think my favourite song was the one with Santa has the Hiccups. I had never seen it before but the little boy playing Santa who had the hiccups was spot on time and hilarious. I had a good laugh watching him. Once we were home we could relax with fish and chips for tea.

Sunday seems to be the invite day for us with even more events to be had but sadly we cant go to four events. My knitting get together will have to be missed and Paul's baseball reunion has to be missed too. He played baseball for many years as a child, teenager and adult for Essendon baseball. Luckily in February there is another reunion so hopefully he can go to that one and it wont be on the night of my dad's 70th birthday. Well must run and attend to a girl who needs lots of tissues and cuddles!!

Sounds like Isabelle was running on adrenalin and dropped after the concert! Glad you all enjoyed it though. :)

Great pic and the koala get-up is just too cute... I hope she gets better soon, nothing worse than a cold in Summer. Have fun at all of your parties, don't you just love the festive season??

Take Care
