Some Lovely Gifts

The kids and I have been down to Kmart this morning for them to spend their gift cards and look what I spied in the book section. Kate Jacobs sequel to Friday Night Knitting Club. Now I will have something to read other than knitting magazines! I enjoyed the first book although it was sad. I hope this one has a happier ending and I really enjoyed the characters too.

I thought I would also show you what Paul and the kids bought me for Christmas. Paul picked them himself so he did rather well I think. At the moment he is hanging these pictures in our bedroom. They are from a painter called Tony Mendico who paints the portraits and then ages them. I love cherubs so these are perfect.

We had a nice quiet Christmas this year. It was so lovely to catch up with everyone, although Kathryn was very missed. We dont have any plans for New Year's so perhaps another year at home with a few friends over will be nice and

relaxing for us and the kids. I hope you all have a wonderful start to 2009. Hopefully before then I will get around to finishing another item and I can show you all.

Happy New Year Sue, to you and all the family. I have posted a couple of times on my blog to start my New Year as I hope to go on. I'm looking forward to a good one and I hope to share it with as many people as possible.
Lovely pictures, they will look super on your wall.
I've been knitting, but not much. I'm feeling refreshed though and am ooking forward to starting a cardigan soon.

Cheers Gillian
