2009 - FO No 7

Another FO that I finished on Monday night.
Pattern: Plum Pudding Beret from Sublime Book No 612
Yarn: Dazzle (from the cardigan) and purple
Started and finished: 23rd February 2009
Size: 6-12 months
Isabelle's doll makes a great baby model. I have to make sure I pop it back into her room, otherwise she will want the hat for keeps!

Now onto some of the squares that we have been knitting around here.
The first picture are the squares knit by my mum. She preferred to knit hers all in garter stitch.

My friend Blanche who is a wonderful knitter knitted these 6 squares. I really love the cable ones on the bottom row. I have knit some squares too but I have 2 more to knit up and havent felt like it this week. I will try and post mine by the weekend.
Thank you all for your supportive words and hugs sent to me too. I am hoping after tonight our financial situation will look a little brighter. Fingers crossed!!

Cute baby hat, and the squares look great! I hope you get everything figured out money-wise; scary time, financially. Got my fingers crossed for you :)

I used to have one big headed doll that was perfect model for baby hats (since my kids can't stay still)!
BTW, since I wasn't around the net for the last few days I have just now read about your finantial problems!
My parents was in similar situatian (but many years ago) and they were soooo moneyless that one of the rare thing that help us was the fact they were cooks and at least they could bring food leftovers from work!
What I wanna say is that now as a mother I am very aware of fact what parents are ready and willed to do to keep family together and fight for better living!
My parents managed - so you and Paul certainly will!
Prayers and thoughts with you and your family!
