The Bad News

Sorry to have taken a little while to get back to you. We have been sifting through our emotions over the last few days and unfortunately the house will be put up for sale. We could not find another solution, but we are trying to look at this as a new adventure, and hopefully in 2 years time I will be working full time, the kids will be extra happy and we will be debt free (fingers crossed).
We have had one agent through to look at it and I will be ringing some others during the week to get organised. I am hoping that with the market the way that it is we will get the price that we need to. I have to say that although this is very stressful it is sort of a relief to finally have an answer one way or the other, and now we can start to move forward. We are both extremely sad that we have failed at this one aspect of our lives after 10 years of building and living in this house. Hopefully the next owners will love it just as much as we do. I still havent cried but I am sure I will when we have to leave. It has been a strange 2 days to say the least with feeling relieved, and then feeling stressed and overwhelmed by it all. A few people have had us in their prayers and I thank them for that, even though the outcome wasnt the one that we wanted for ourselves or our children. Paul and I are trying to look ahead though and I have to say that I have only ever really lived in 2 houses, my parents and the one that we built. Lots of memories are in this house and I shall cherish them forever. I think over the next few days I shall start taking pictures of the rooms in this house so I wont forget what we had. I havent really spent time doing the things I want to here but now it is not going to be ours I guess it makes you realise that you can have everything one day, and then nothing the next, and yes it can happen to anyone. Thank you everyone who left caring and wonderful comments for me, I cherish them all and they have made me feel very cared about too so I thank you all for that wonderful feeling.
Tomorrow I will post about the exciting and cheering up day I had with my sister at the Stitches and Craft show today and a few famous bloggers that I saw, and I even got the chance to talk to one too.

I am so sorry about your situation Sue. Take the pictures, cherish the memories and remember that nothing is as important as your family. At the end a house is just a house (I know it is not that simple but it is a thing and I have always tried to believe that when one door closes another one opens) and your financial stability is most important at this time. Life is so precious and short and while it doesn't always work out the way we have planned, we are always richer for the experiences we go through. Take care of yourself, your partner and your kids. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh, Sue, I'm so sorry. Make sure you ask more than you want - buyers always offer much less than you ask [about 10%]! And don't let the real estate agent talk you down!

I hope everything goes smoothly for you; this is a difficult time and you don't need extra stress.

As they say in my area - you are really standing still on the ground with both of your feet! I don't know how I would bear such situation, but looks like your post console us more than we should console you!
You must be really tough woman and kids are have to have such a mother!

I'm sorry you have had to resort to selling, but I'm sure it will all be for the best. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts, for sure.

I was at the show on Saturday and dinner with some of those crafty bloggers on Friday night! So much fun, and so, so, so inspiring ...

I'm sorry to hear that you have to move. I agree with being relieved to know what's going to happen...the waiting is what makes you crazy! And your kids will have many great memories about your house! What's important is that your together, not where. Hugs!

I'm very sorry - and I know how you feel. I had to sell my dream house when I got sick and could not live in it any more. But you will get over it with time - I know that too.
Best of luck with everything.

Although you've had many happy memories in that home, I truly believe that there are many more to come in a new home. I love that you are trying to think positive about this. Best wishes for your family!

You are absolutely right, Sue, this can happen to anyone at any time. When it comes right down to it, all that matters or lasts in this lifetime are the families we build, the friends we cherish and the participation in a spiritual community that grows our faith in G-d.

Over the time I've read your blog I've read countless times how you have knit items to be given away. You have a giving nature and are a beautiful person and that is what defines who you are.

When one door closes ~ another door opens.
May this be a wonderful opportunity for you and the saddeness will lessen as time goes on. I love you attitude and wish you and your family well. :)

Sue, I am so very sorry to hear this. But you are moving forward and that is a good thing. You'll be able to make memories with your beautiful family wherever you are, and with all the love and strength you all so clearly possess, you will get through this!

oh, I'm so sorry to hear that you'll have to give up your house. I can imagine just knowing what the answer is must be a relief. You have so much to be thankful for and as hard as it will be to leave the house, you have many years ahead of you to build new memories. Hang in there - I'll be thinking about you.

It could and can happen to any one at anytime. Do not be hard on yourself. You are taking care of your family and that is the most important thing!
