Me Meme!

I've been tagged for a Me Meme by Fresh Tea, thank you so much for that as my blog hasnt been as up to date lately so here we go:

The rules:
1. Respond and rework; answer the questions on your blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your invention, add one more question of your own.

2. Tag eight other people.

What is your current obsession? Knitting toys at the moment. I went crazy at Spotlight and bought another 2 kits and then my mum got me two more I didnt have so now I have four to knit up after finishing off two. I am sure I will be sick of them soon enough.

What is your weirdest obsession? Playing Farm Town on facebook at the moment, and keeping in touch with a few of my cousins too which is wonderful as I dont get to see them very much.

What are you wearing today? Tracksuit pants, longsleeved tshirt and little brown ugg boots to keep the very cold weather out.

What's for dinner? Rogan Josh which I added potatoes too and steamed rice, very nice and very filling too!

What would you eat for your last meal? Ooh it is a toss up between cornbeef with white sauce and mashed potatoes, cabbage, carrots and corn, or Lemon Meringue Pie (homemade one of course).

What's the last thing you bought? I have to admit it, I popped online and bought a few knitting books today so as soon as they arrive I will show you all. I wanted one and ended up with more than I originally intended to buy. All good though because I will definately use them.

What are you listening to right now? Pink! Isabelle loves her music and has been dancing around in her room singing along (not that she would really know what Pink is trying to say). Nothing now, Pink has been turned off and Strawberry Shortcake is now being watched on the dvd player! Ah peace at last.

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go? I would love to go to Belgium to see my great uncle's grave (who was my grandfather's brother) and was killed in the war. I have a photo but it would be nice to see his headstone in person.

Which language do you want to learn? I have to go along with Fresh Tea this time and agree that French would be nice to learn.

What do you love most about where you currently live? Listening to the rain on the tin roof (when it decides to rain that is) whilst going to sleep.

What is your favorite colour? Green!

What is your favorite piece of clothing in your own wardrobe? Probably something that doesnt fit me at the moment!

What were you doing ten years ago?I was working in a legal office as a word processing operator/secretary in Footscray, getting my son through his first year of primary school and building our house!

Describe your personal style? Trying to be organised. Clean and tidy I guess!

How tall are you? 5'7

What are your favourite films? Well I would like to say Benjamin Button but it was out when I went to borrow it at the video store but the latest one would have to be Nights in Rodanthe. I quite liked it and since I hadnt read the book I didnt know the ending so it was a bit of a shock but a good story!

What inspires you? Ooh I would have to say other bloggers, looking at their beautiful creations (crafty and home inspired) and realising that what I do is important too. Sometimes as a mum I tend to forget that. Going to visit someone else in their space is so nice it feels like you are invited into a chapter of their lives for a little while doesnt it and you do realise that even though we are all in different parts of the world some of our lives are very similar in ways.

You’re favourite books? Some of the fantasy books that Lachlan and I have both read (and I still have to read), and knitting books. I love reading about other knitters and what inspires them, how they got into the craft and where it has taken them. I also love reading about other crafty people too and their backgrounds and how they got where they are today. Blogs are great reading like that too which is why I love them.

Do you collect anything? Knitting books and yarn, cherubs too.

What makes you follow a blog? I love a blog where you can read and feel as though you are a part of their lives whilst they are telling their story about their life, and good photos help too.

What was the most enjoyable thing you did today? Going to my sister's for afternoon tea. She baked a beautiful peach cake, very yummy! We sat and did some crafty things. I started a hat that I had to rip back because I didnt read the pattern properly again, and she did her handquiliting on a beautiful quilt. Oh and I also met a baby girl whose mother I used to babysit a long time ago now. She was very gorgeous and her little cardigan does look beautiful on her too.

What would you like to learn? How to crochet properly and remember how to do it.

What would you like to acheive in the next year? I would like to finish some UFO's that I have around the house, and start some sewing projects. I would also like to live with less stress for the next year (perhaps forever would be wonderful wouldnt it), and also get my career back on track again.

Now to pass the tag on :

Two Little Banshees
Retro Mummy
Tiennie Knits
Jelly Wares
Soozs
Melly and Me
Little Cotton Rabbits

I hope I got all the links right, if not I will correct them later on for you all. If I didnt tag you then please consider yourself tagged as I would love to read your answers too. Have a wonderful day and happy reading!
