Socks In Progress 2009

Here is what I have been knitting in the last 2 days, some socks for my auntie. I was going to knit her a patterned pair out of some yarn I bought from Kate but the pattern didnt look very nice in it so I went to my sock stash and grabbed the latest ball of sock yarn from Spotlight, Moda Vera Noir. It is in my auntie's favourite colors too, all purples and I like the way the patterns keep changing. I completed the heel last night so hopefully by the weekend the rest will be finished. I need to have these done by next Saturday for her 60th!

I have finished all my commission knitting which is good, and hopefully will have some more. I couldnt do my catalogue run this week as I have put my upper back out. I think I did it a few weeks back when I had bronchitis and felt something pop. It didnt hurt until last week when I had to get me ears syringed and my chest was aching. The first doctor said it was muscle tension but the second doctor said no I had popped it out. I am just waiting to see the chiropractor that Paul visits. He is very good with fixing Paul's back so I am hoping he can pop mine back in and I can breathe properly again. I start to feel better and then I will begin to ache again. Luckily knitting doesnt affect it too much so I can still have something to occupy myself. I have had some company the last 2 days as Isabelle has been unwell again (sort of over it now). She has been burning up and coughing on and off, obviously what Lachlan had 2 weeks ago and decided to share his germs. I am hoping she is better next week for her weekly swim lessons with the school. We have Lachlan's mate staying over for the weekend which should be good, he doesnt get to see him that much since he changed schools. Okay off to make a baby giraffe sockie and do some more sock knitting. I am hoping that knitting these socks will get me inspired to try a hard pattern out of Cookie's sock book!

That sock is amazing! I can't believe that one ball of wool can create so many patterns. When I was little my clarinet teacher knitted socks and I thought she was the coolest lady ever. One day I'll learn and make some myself. Have a great weekend Sue.

So you can still knit with your back troubles? Could be a great excuse to do a lot more!

Thanks for visiting me at my blog! I love your cat and giraffe - so cute. I think the cat's eyes look great. I think sock puppets are such fun.

Ooooh yes go for a Cookie pattern! They are super fun. Although challenging (at least for me). I knit Sunshine and it was great... Rick is taking for-ev-er.
