Day 19 .....

is Jake, our beloved kelpie. He is really a sweetheart under those big brown eyes. He is the gentle natured puppy of the family, although he has been here since Lachie was 6 so he isnt really a puppy anymore. He would just lick you to death instead of being a good guard dog so luckily Tess makes up for that, lol! We got Jake from a farm in Gisborne where he was the runt of a litter of about 6 or 7 so Paul picked him out just because of that. We did go back a few years later and found out that most of the pups had had some major trauma in their lives, so luckily Jake hasnt been one of them. He is very obedient, sits when he is told too, doesnt run out on the road if we have the garage open, and loves most other dogs. He would cover them in slobber if we let him. He also LOVES PLAYING SOCCER in the backyard. If new people come over and say they want to play ball with him we just laugh because we know that Jake will play for about an hour before he admits defeat and becomes tired. We really couldnt live without Jake you know, he is one of those pets that you love like your own children (well nearly). Now that covers all the pets in the house so now the knitting will have to be found and photographed. I already pulled out the test knitting, it was driving me crazy so I have decided to let it go, no use worrying about it and move onto anther project. Tomorrow is going to be 28 degrees so it will be a beautiful day like today. We had our first bbq for dinner tonight and I have to say that I loved it, havent had one since last summer. We are going to have another one tomorrow night too, yippee ... and it means I dont have to cook!
