Beautiful Sock Yarn!

I have updated my website finally with some help from the wonderful Delicious Design Studio!  I found them via Corrie who updated her wonderful blog too and I have to say their designs are just beautiful.  I hope you all like what I chose.
Okay so onto the yarn purchase for the new year (yes I couldnt help myself), but I was looking for some nice solid colored sock yarn whereas I usually buy variegated ones and since I want to knit up some more cabled socks for myself this year I thought I might go and have a look at Meaghan's website where she sells really lovely yarns and other things.  First up is the Heritage Cascade sock yarn in a beautiful blue (5615).  I loved using this last year when I knit my sister's green socks.  I do have a pattern in mind already so I will show when I start them.
Secondly I bought some Louet Gems sock yarn.  I think the color is called Goldenrod, a mustardy type color which I seem to be loving for the last year or so ... havent decided on a pattern as yet but will have a look once I finish knitting the blue ones.
Our year has started off nicely so far, a bit of knitting, some friends visiting and so on...... as for knitting plans, well more socks this year hopefully and I may even try to knit up some knitabulous sock yarn into a shawl pattern.  I have a gorgeous blue and a red/pink color try out.  I havent found the right pattern yet, nothing too overly lacy as I dont think I could concentrate knitting 4 ply and lace with Isabelle around!  Any suggestions would be highly appreciated from you expert knitters out there!
I should hopefully have my first FO of the year finished this week too so I will pop back then to show you!

Wow Sue your site looks fantastic! A whole new you. You must be thrilled! Speaking of thrilled; my girls certainly were when we received your fabulous package in the mail this afternoon. Thank you so much, they LOVED them. There will be many fairy games happening here in the next few weeks I am sure. Can't wait to see the socks you'll be busy knitting.

I need to knit some of my overabundant sock yarn into shawls, too! Pretty yellow! I knit my first pair of 'yellow' socks this year or the Sock Knitters Anonymous challenge. I'm sure you will find the perfect pattern. Mine was one by Cookie A. Happy New Year!

I love the new look - pink and green are one of my favourite combinations.

For a fast easy semi-lacey sock I always recommend Petticoat Socks from "Weekend Knitting". They're so fast I knitted them up in a week and handed them over to my mum for Mother's Day to her delight :)
