2010 - FO No. 22

This is the cardigan I knitted up on Saturday for the Poppy doll I made quite a while ago now.  I used some Zarina yarn and size 3.5mm needles but somehow the pattern didnt turn out right.  Pigeon Pair knit one up too and hers turned out so nicely that I think I shall have to try again with the decreases at the top of the cardigan so it goes around her neck instead of venturing towards her tummy area!  Oh well she still looks cute and it was only a couple of hours knitting!
Other knitting has to be finished now too though - 1 sock for Katt, half a sleeve for another test knit which is nearly complete, a stripey sock for Isabelle which is nearly finished and 2 little stripey cardigans and hats for my nephews.  For some reason now that I have to knit things for little boys I just want to knit things for little girls, lol!  Oh well there are 3 more babies to knit for over the next few months that friends are having!  I should be busy for a while.
Oh and I just had to show you a picture of Isabelle before she ventured into the city yesterday with my sister!  The pink dress and leggings and shoes are part of what Isabelle spent her birthday money on.  She is becoming quite the little fashionista!  Her Auntie Narelle had decided to spoil Isabelle for her birthday and took her to see the stage show Mary Poppins.  I told her to keep it a surprise so she didnt know what they were going to do in the city.  She was happy that it had been kept a surprise and absolutely loved it all and was keen to show me the book that she received and what parts were her favourite.  Then they popped off to the Smiggles store which is apparently very popular for children who love pencils, crayons, erasers and all other sorts of things.  Isabelle bought a very cute velvet pencil, an eraser that looks like a little icypole and a sharpener that pops up!  They do have a website too but I think it would be better to visit in person.  My sister did mention that they spent about half an hour in the store waiting for Isabelle to decide on what she wanted!  Oh and Isabelle's 5 fishy friends now live in the study which you can see behind her.

Isabelle is at such a fun, cute age. And your little sweater on the doll is adorable. Hopefully some of your friends will produce girl babies soon -- for the girly knitter in you!
