Knitting In The Heat!

It has been so hot here lately that the knitting has struggled for a bit and having evaporative cooling does nothing in the humidity. I have been knitting at night time and here is Isabelle's Tea Leaves cardigan in progress. I have nearly finished the first sleeve so hopefully tonight I will be able to start the second one. The color is an actual gorgeous dark teal color instead of the blue that is showing up here.
My computer internet is back up to date so now Lachlan is on a daily limit of internet access. My computer would not even turn on yesterday but thankfully this morning it did but then the keyboard was typing extra letters as I was trying to use it. Luckily the computer guy said I just needed to buy a new one so $25 later and it is back to normal and the new keyboard is so nice to type on too.
I have also been sitting and watching all the devastating news in Queensland. My cousin and auntie live up there but they are in a safe area which is good news. It is so devastating and awful seeing all those poor people having to go back to their homes and realising all the damage that has been done. I cant even begin to imagine the hardships they face with even normal everyday stuff as trying to have a shower and go to the toilet and cook food. It must be so very hard. I think people are doing a wonderful job of raising funds too, especially in blogland which I think is wonderful. I was going to donate one of my knitted items to the auctions but then thought that perhaps it had to be an original pattern so decided against it. Maybe I will just bid on something throughout the auctions instead. I do hope that they can start the recovery and clean up very soon.
Well the sun is out here and shining for once and my washing is being hung out, even if rains later on as it had been in there all week and was starting to smell from the dampness of it all. Only one more load to do and then I am off to email something for Lachlan as he is looking for an apprenticeship and a company at our local shopping centre was looking for people to do their course so hopefully it will benefit him in the work department. I am hoping that now I have my car back I can start looking for some work too! Okay speak to you all later, enough of my waffling on....

Not waffle at all. Isn't it terrible to be computerless?? I think a computer and the internet are basic services now, or they should be. A new keyboard is so nice, mine was knocked off my desk by a puppy, and so I have a missing key, but since I never want to use it, I don't know what it is!!!
That cardi is gorgeous!! Good luck with the humidity, it is here too, and makes everything just that bit more of an effort.

It's good to see you back -- and to hear that Lachlan is still alive LOL. That little cardi is so cute -- it will be fun to see it finished.
