A Nice Surprise!

Today I came home from work and there was a parcel waiting by the front door.  It was from Tina of the Knitting Blooms videocast.  I had won a prize a couple of weeks ago and I was lucky enough to win some of her handdyed yarn (the color I got to choose myself).  It is merino fingering weight and is lovely and soft.  I think it will sit in my stash for a little bit as I havent decided on a pattern as yet.  It has 400 yards so maybe later I will check out ravelry for ideas.  It didnt take long to arrive either as she just posted it off last week.  Mail in Australia seems to take ages to arrive from one state to another for some reason which I dont really understand why when overseas mail can arrive here much quicker.  Oh well I am just glad it arrived.  Thank you again Tina.  If you have watched her videocast you should pop on over and see her and her kitties too (she has 5 cats you know) and is a wonderfully fast knitter.

That looks beautiful. Soft, cosy and a lovely colour too. Enjoy the anticipation of knitting it.

Lovely colour choice - can't wait to see what you do with it.

It's because, with International Mail, you're dealing with the U.S. Postal Service ROFLOL. (You know...neither rain, nor snow, .... yeah right!) Enjoy your new yarn -- it's beautiful!

The veggies in the last post look great. I have only got a hanging basket of tomatoes in our courtyard.
Lovely colours in your yarn prize, congrats!
Cheers Gillian

What a lovely prize!! The post is even slower form here to the Mainland, and if there's an ash cloud there are no Mainland papers, letters or parcels.
