New Cable Sweater

Here is the new pattern that I bought yesterday. I started it last night with some Cara Mia yarn, which I already had in my stash (thank goodness). It is quite an easy pattern actually. This is about 3 hours of knitting which is probably not that much to some of you guys. The color is actually like a dark wine color. I am making this for Isabelle for next year so it is a bigger size. The book is a Panda one which uses any 8 ply yarns for these patterns. There are actually about 4 or 5 that I like in this book for boys and girls.

I also have started the heel decreasing on the second sock so hopefully by tomorrow it will be finished and I will be able to take a picture for you all. I think I need to find a way to take better photos of my projects. The color is never right and I see other blogs whose photographs are beautiful and it feels like you are right there in the photo. Maybe I need a better camera (which wont happen for a very long time) so I think I need to improve my skills. Oh and if anyone using blogger knows how to get their favourite sites to tell them when they have updated, and a marker appears next to their website, would anyone be willing to help me so I know how to do it. I still cannot upload my photo onto my comments either. Any help would be appreciated. Well I am going to attempt to hang my washing out and hope that it does not rain in the next few hours, and that the wind will dry Lachie's school uniforms for Monday. I hope that you all have a wonderful day, and for those who need the rain (like we do too) I hope you get some!

Thanks for the Birthday greetings.

I've got a stall at the Village Shopping Centre Craft Market on Thursday this week if you can ever get over, it's the second Thursday of each month. I have a lot of my FOs for sale and lots of jams and chutneys.
Cheers Gillian

Oh I would love to come. I used to go to the market last year, when I had the car during the day. If I can, I can possibly always catch the train in. It starts at 10:00 doesnt it. I hope you don't mind if I bring Isabelle with me though.

Hi Sue

Try blogrolling.com. Set up a blogroll on that site and add your links. Tell it how you want to mark your favourites when they've updated (and how recently -- last 12 hrs, 24 hrs, etc). Then, you'll replace your links list with a little piece of code in your template and voila! Everything should work like magic.

If you're looking to do this for your own use, though, so you can keep your eye on your faves, I recommend bloglines.com. It's a great way to keep track of everything you're interested in without putting everyone you know in your blogroll until you're ready to.

Hope that makes sense. If you want to talk more, drop me a line @ gmail.
