A bit of spotlighting

We girls headed off at 7:00pm last night to do a spot of shopping at Spotlight. My Auntie was down from her farm for the weekend, so she came along with mum, my sister, Isabelle and I. Even though it was raining, it was nice to have a bit of time out together. To the left is what I bought. Mum had found the clearance bins at the left hand side of the counter near the blinds department, and they were clearing their winter stock, and discontinued yarn. I bought a big ball of Vista yarn for $10.00 to make Isabelle something. I also bought 10 balls of 8 ply pure new wool in cream, and 1 lonely ball of red which I was hoping to find more of. It is a beautiful deep red and they were being sold for $2.00 a ball. I also bought Creme De La Creme in a nice sage green color to make a scarf for myself, and some more knitting needles, and a vintage tape measure. At the front of the store they had little boxes in all different sizes with a rose print on the fabric and they were only $2.00 to $5.00 each. I bought a $4.00 one but I forgot to photograph it. I will be putting it on my sewing table to fill up with cottons. They are also selling their vintage sewing accessories for 20% off so they are under $10.00. I love the vintage tape measure, so cute and I will photograph it later on. Isabelle got a little Santa sign to hang on the door at Christmas which is she is going to paint over the weekend. I had to post early as we are going out for lunch today to celebrate my birthday which is tomorrow. I cant believe I am going to be 38 years old. I dont think my years make me feel any different since I turned about 32 years old. We are having the family up for a barbeque tomorrow and Paul is cooking. Well I had better go since Paul has just made bacon and eggs for breakfast. I love it when he cooks! Hope you all have a good weekend.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow, Sue!
My Spotlight never seems to put anything worthwhile like that on sale.
