2008 - FO 30 and 31

Now that my swap pal has received her presents I can post about what I made for her.
The top picture is a pair of fingerless mitts that I knit for my swap pal Kylee. I knit these out of Zara yarn. These were my first mitts that I had ever tried to knit so I was rather pleased that they turned out so nicely. The pattern is called Tyler Fingerless Mitts from the box kit of Hats, Mittens and Scarves by Angela Tung which I received last year for my birthday. The pattern was quite simple for a first time mitt knitter like me.
The second picture is the hot water bottle cover from Rowan 28 called Hottie. It was supposed to be knit in Rowan Kid Classic but I knit mine from Bendigo yarn. I only used 2 balls and I love the color too, cant remember it though as I cannot locate the ball band. I do have more details over on ravelry if anyone is interested.

ohhhh lovely job!

If you upload your photo to flickr, then click on the photo and there is an icon at the top that says all sizes, I select medium size and at the bottom of the page underneath the photo it says photos's url and starts with http:// so copy this line and in ravelry forum you click the photo icon and put the http link in and voila photo is in forum!!!!

hope that helps!

See now I'm feeling all autumnal looking at your lovely cosy knits! We've barely had a decent spring yet, let alone summer!

I love the fingerless mittens, I really love the long wrist bands on them. They are the perfect pair and I am sure they are going to be a favourite pair.
