Today Lachlan turns 15. My how fast time goes. This picture on the right was taken when he was only a few weeks old. Now he is taller than I am which is a bit of a surprise as he has had a growth spurt over recent months making him taller than all his friends now. I am sure he will be taller than Paul by the end of the year. I am 5'7" so he must be nearly 5'8". He has had his 2 best friends over for the last 2 days. They had pizza for dinner last night and hot dogs for lunch today. Tonight we are having a bbq for dinner with cake, and then tomorrow my niece and nephew come to spend the night with us which should be lots of fun.
Now to show you the blanket I finished up last night. I started this last year sometime but never got very far so for the last few days I pulled it out and knit on it whilst trying to get rid of my sore neck. That turned out to be a swollen gland from bronchitis and a virus that I have since visiting the doctor yesterday. Thankfully the antibiotics have already done some magic and my swollen gland has reduced itself quite nicely. Okay enough of my whinging, so here are the details:
Pattern: Design D from Sirdar Baby Knits 316
Started: 2008 Finished: 15 January 2009
Yarn: Acrylic yarn from Go-lo which isnt too bad to knit with and can be machine washed. The colors are quite nice together and the pattern shows up much better than in the photo.
So that is it for now with the FO's. I did start a shawl collared cardigan for my nephew's birthday which is in March. I must knit a Footscray colored beanie for my other nephew whose birthday is February too. I am off to start doing some things for the party, like cleaning out the garage so we can all sit down and eat outside.

oh I love it! I have to say after having the twins acrylic or cotton is perfect for baby blankets because new mums aren't the best for handwashing!!!
I'm proud to say I handwashed your lovelies and must pull them out to model on keira's dollies till I'm ready for baby number 4
I always have to tidy up the back if we have visitors over and would love a garage to store things in ...we have a double carport which means you have to keep it clean and free of everything!
good luck and happy birthday Lachlan
Corrie:)
What a sweet cuddle (both pics) I had to say I don't mind knitting with some acrylics. And you're right, washing machine friendly.
Happy bday to Lachlan
pretty planket!
Sorry to hear you are sick but am glad to hear you are getting better!
A swollen neck sounds very uncomfortable. I'm glad they gave you something that is working.
The birthday celebration sounds tremendous fun and you have all the major food groups - pizza, hot dogs, bbq, cake, etc.
Happy birthday Lachlan

Happy Birthday Lachlan!
Hope you had a great party.
The blanket is lovely.
So glad the weather is suitable for an outdoor celebration. It's sleeting here, in between the showers and there is snow on the hills but I still love it.
Happy Birthday Lachlan!
Congratulations Mum and Dad!
