2011 - FO 23

This gorgeous pattern is called the autumn cardi.  I really do love the lace patterning on the bottom half of this cardi, and it is easy to remember too.  I used 2 balls of Panda Magnum Soft from stash which is an 8 ply yarn or DK yarn on size 4mm needles.  All the details are on ravelry.  It is actually a very dark red but I think when I took the photo it was an overcast day so it looks very washed out.  I just need to see my god-daughter and hope that she will model it for me.  She seems to be very camera shy these days until I leave and then pops on the garment and wants her photo taken after I am home again.  Oh well you never know how children will act!

More knitting tonight for my nephew to be, which is the Oli Woo jacket which I am making in red and tan.  It should hopefully turn out rather cute as long as I lengthen the sleeves and widen them a little bit as other ravellers have noted a few problems with them.  I also have to knit a neckband on a little cable number for him and it will also be finished up.  Isabelle has also spied a new pattern in stripes (yes June/July will be stripes I think) in aqua and teal which should be very pretty.  She advised me that she is sick of pink, and funnily enough she is dressed head to toe in pink today!  Hope you all have a lovely weekend and I should be back next week!

Don't know why - but every baby/kid knitwear you finished ... I instantly wanna one in my size!

Love the gathered effect on sleeves!

Hope you have sorted the online fraud stuff. It happened to us a few years ago but was quickly sorted by the police and the ANZ. They were great and we got back all the stuff that went interstate.
Thinking of you Gillian
