Day 7 ......

Well it seems I do have more to post about than I thought I did with a little help from my creative 8 year old too..... yesterday Isabelle bought home some artwork she had done during her day. I think they are fabulous, especially the zebra one. She painted all the pieces before she stuck them onto her background. She wasnt too sure about the lion one though but I have to mention that yellow isnt one of her favourite colors. I have been having fun finding a few new favourite bloggers to read over on blogtoberfest although I have only got through a few on the list so far, there are so many in there joining along! I have also noticed some bloggers doing the "to do" list. I do like a list and it helps keep me focused too so here is mine for today ...
1. Sort out some insurance work - done
2. Get some paperwork sorted and organised - half done
3. Get dinner ready
4. Take Isabelle to swimming
5. Make rice pudding for desert (now if only I could find a great recipe for it)
6. Ironing
7. Make lunches for tomorrow
8. Sit and do some knitting
and then tomorrow we start again ......

She is so talented! Zebra is amazing! Me, for instance - I am total idiot when it comes to drawing!

Hi Sue, I'm enjoying your daily posts! Love Isabelle's paintings, just gorgeous. Re rice pudding..have you checked out Myrtle & Eunice's recent post? She may be able to send you the recipe for her r.p., there was a delicious looking photo that was very tempting! xo
ps would you email me your address? I would like to send you a little something!

Hi Sue, great artwork from your girl. I don't know whether to be impressed or depressed that your to do list looks a lot like mine give or take a few small details. Rice pudding sounds a very Nigella Lawson thing. Could you google?

love the zebra and lion!

we eat quite a bit of rice pudding around here. I make it from leftover cooked Jasmine rice -cover the rice plus a centimetre or so with milk and cook gently. Add some mixed spice, vanilla and sultans if you like. Once it is the texture you like, add some sugar. We like it warm or cold from the fridge with some cream. Yum.

I love the pictures and I like the to-do list. I guess if it's posted on your blog you never misplace it (which I always seem to do!)
